"every single inconvenient effect i can find" couldn't have summed up survival mechanics better myself.

I'd definitely throw on Sound Physics Remastered, AmbientSounds, and Presence Footsteps as well :hand-purple-blue-peace:

I get that we're going for realism, but let's agree to stay away from pissing and shitting mods

"And it still runs great" - AsianHalfSquat with an rtx 4090 gpu Edit: I have some ideas to add to the realism (no idea if mods like that exist) some of which are inspired by a game (Green Hell) that has those things: 1. Stamina (not just combat stamina). Now you'll have 2 types of stamina bars; an "action" stamina bar which is used for literally everything. From sprinting, jumping and swimming to mining, farming and fighting (has different depletion rates for different actions and regenerates when resting/eating/sleeping), and a general stamina stat which slowly but exponentially reduces over time. This one only regenerates when eating, idling and sleeping with the latter being the only way to also reset the reduction speed. Your "general stamina" caps your maximum "action stamina", and if it's completely gone you'll pass out with a 90% chance of death (as you may get eaten/attacked while unconscious). 2. Nutrition. Instead of having a simple hunger bar, you have several indicating different needs (proteins, fats, glucose, vitamins etc.). This forces you to eat various different food items. Each food item has a different set and amount of points. Meat provides mostly proteins and fat, and fruits and vegetables give you glucose, vitamins and a small amount of water. Bread/cake - glucose (+ a little fat for cake). 3. Realistic tools and armor. When tools and armor are damaged their effectiveness (damage, use speed, and protection) slowly decreases, and also overhauls the durability. Fixing your chestplate, sword, or axe would require special tools (like a hammer for armor to fix dents, and a grinding stone to sharpen your swords and axes). This cannot be done indefinitely as in real life fixing your armor or tools may solve the worst issues, but they'll slowly degrade irreversibly. They'll initially be more durable than vanilla, but after a while have degraded so much that you're forced to craft a new one. Mending would be less effective (so you can't simply rely on it fully to keep everything on full durability), but as a bonus would slow down the degradation speed.

This is literally RLCraft without the fun fantasy mods

Here is some mods I think should be added to the list: 1. 3D skin layers (makes skins have 3d layer effects) 2. Boat fall (Boats will break and the player will take damage if you fall from high enough with a boat) 3. Break free (lets you continue breaking a block when you switch items) 4. Charmonium (adds Ambient biome sound effects) 5. Eating animation (Adds animation for eating) 6. Make bubbles pop (bubbles doesn't magically disappear underwater) 7. MAmbience (adds many dynamic ambient effects) 8. No Nametag Render (No more floating letters above named creatures) 9. No sneaking over magma (Magma does damage, even when sneaking) 10. Presence footsteps (Realistic footstep sounds) 11. Puddles (Adds puddles when raining) 12. Sleep warp (Time speeds up instead of cutting till the morning) 13. SnowyLeavesPlus (Leaves turn white when it's snowing) I know all the mods I mentioned are compatible, but I'm not sure if they are with any of the ones mentioned in the video.

Modern Stonecutters just go back and forward very fast instead of rotating, so any Material that is elastic, Like skin, will just wiggle. But the one in Minecraft is clearly rotating so it will hurt you.

  • @anthonyiye
terrafirmacraft is a really good overly realistic modpack if you haven't heard of it
  • Actually theres a stamina mod for fabric as well! "Walk, jog, run" is a mod that sepeprates the walking speeds, mainly, but it also adds a stamina speed to your sprinting and once it hits zero it gives you slowness for a little bit while it recharges! :3
  • @BobzBlue
I got an idea that doesn't really exist. Give every block a variation of the scaffolding mechanic, the weight and strength of a block determines how much overhang it can hold. It would be difficult to code as blocks would needs to interact with eachother and maybe have an even more complex overhang system.

Bro played Vintage Story once and made this. I don't know where I'm going with this but there is a connection

Mods I would add (I don't know if they're all fabric or updated to the correct version, I'm too lazy to check.): Butchery: Adds realistic animal butchering, so food is harder to get. Make sure you turn on the setting that makes all animals drop corpses when killed by anything. Sleep Tight: Overhauls sleeping by adding nightmares and bed bugs, and makes you hungry after you wake up. Spelunkery: Non-metal ores such as diamond and redstone now drop chunks of said resource that need to be refined at a grindstone.
