The minimum wage hurts the young and inexperienced from getting their foot in the workplace. Because while it's mandatory for a boss to pay 10 bucks an hour it's not mandatory for a boss to employ them in the first place when they may not be worth the expense.

Im very far left but I agree with Peter Schiff on a lot of economic issues. Including minimum wage. If I want to work for $5 an hour, doing a very easy job, whos the government to say I cant?

it's about paying as little as you can get away with paying. why do companies call them "human resources?" because they (workers) are simply a cost of doing business to them. without a minimum wage companies will just force people to compete for jobs driving the cost lower and lower like companies compete on prices. people are not products. you cannot treat people the same way you treat staples or office max. people must have a minimum wage GUARANTEE. if you cannot operate a business in the united states that is able to pay minimum wage then you are a loser and you should find another line of work.
