These are the videos that I'm always so thankful for. Not very often do we get an honest glimpse into the realness of other peoples parenting. These always impact me in a way, and make me want to do better as a parent.
  • @NaysKitchen
WOW! Love it, Ben, I love the interest you have with every part of your family and that you thought enough of your daughter (Eden) to discuss questions of confusion and worry with her as an individual parent and a united front with Kami. I found myself in tears as I so often do with many of your vlog videos thinking "If only my father had of taken even 5% of your care factor instead of beating me physically and mentally, maybe my childhood head space would have a whole different outlook." I don't take this to a place of jealousy, I think this is such a beautiful thing and pray that more fathers see that a real man can be vulnerable and share something special like that. I also loved the serious jelly bean sorting going on. shabbat shalom xx

Thank you for sharing. It is such a gift for you and Eden to get to be so open and receptive with eachother. I hope I can cultivate that with my kids.
  • I just found y’all and I’ve appreciated your honesty and transparency. I’m happily learning how I’d like to have a open family relationship in the future. Sending love and good vibes.
  • I just love how real you guys are in your videos. That is the kind of relationship my husband and I want to have with our future kids. Also I love your house!

The extended family stuff sounds really hard, but I love seeing you guys treat each other and your relationship as primary in spite of it all. The talks with your kids and the 12 step meetings are really encouraging to me to see you all pratice. I always wanted a place to share growing up and felt that lacking.

It is always a win when your kids can share with you. Especially, those subjects that are difficult to discuss.
  • I can't stop watching your videos me and my husband are going backpacking for the first time

I had a tri-mal open fracture. 5 years ago. 9 years ago, hiking the AT was my dream. Because of you guys, I look forward to section hiking. It happens, and you guys recognized those who do so..
  • What a powerful story about your talk with Eden. It is one of the most important things in the world to open your heart about something you find difficult to share and be met with nonjudgment and acceptance. I've found, through counseling and marriage, that sometimes that simple exchange is all that is needed for a great amount of healing to occur. We can carry so much shame and often, the shame and walls that we build because of it are more damaging than the original issue. I wish I had done those meetings with my own kids when they were still at home. Thanks for sharing.

Wow I’m so happy to be watching that! I hid so many thoughts growing up even knowing my parents loves me unconditionally and im only dealing with the repercussions of hiding that shame and fear now.
  • I really admire the way that you are raising your children. I like how open you are with your children and how even though subjects are uncomfortable to talk about you still do it. You don’t shame them.
  • @joygillon9623
we have to keep our heat on allll winter otherwise the pipes will bust!! loved seeing the joy on Dove's face when you announced the heat going on lol.
  • @joshbaker2157
Respect to Papah and Hominy for standing by the children and trying to avoid hearing any of the back fence talk from others that have no real say. And to you guys for standing by your daughter/children.
  • My baby boy is 3 months old and since birth, he has always been a calm and mellow little dude... everyone always tells me that he is calm and that I'm so lucky.... I feel lucky because he is healthy and well! Btw, it's around 70 degrees in the valley (phoenix) and sweaters or jackets aren't in full effect yet. 😂😂😂
