This was a five day solo hike alone in South Cumberland State Park in the Savage Gulf Natural Area. I would be hiking 42.75 miles starting and ending at the Stone Door Ranger Station. I would start by hiking on the Big Creek Rim trail towards Alum Gap Camp. On day 2, I would take the Big Creek Gulf Trail towards Ranger Falls, continue on the Connector Trail, see the Gator Savage Cabin (also known as Decatur Savage Cabin), continue on Collins Gulf Trail where I would see Horsepound Falls followed by Suter Falls, before finally camping overnight in my tent at Collins West Camp. On day 3, I would take the Collins Rim Trail towards Stagecoach Rd. and then onto the South Rim Trail before getting to Savage Falls Camp. On day 4, I would hike alone in the rain first to Savage Falls, a beautiful waterfall in Tennessee, before traversing the North Rim Trail towards Hobbs Cabin Camp. I wouldn't be staying there though, instead continuing on the Connector Trail back to Sawmill Camp. Finally, on day 5, I would hike back to Stone Door, unfortunately not having the energy to see Laurel Falls. In retrospect, I should have gone to see that and Greeter Falls so I could have seen every waterfall in the Savage Gulf.

I listened to that Schmoyoho song hundreds of times back in the day)

Hi! We are the "older couple" you mention in the video! We didn't realize you were famous when we met on the trail. Savage Gulf is a tough loop, but the rock features and waterfalls made it worthwhile. We hauled and did it in 3 days. Love your honest feelings, we laughed because we said the same things at almost the exact same places.

I love how Robby will stand on the edges of cliffs and get these amazing shots, but then the wobbly bridges terrify him insert crying laughing emoji

Whenever I watch a video of these guys Im perplexed how they can possible have so few subscribers. Quality and personality are both on top.

He was so cute when he was thinking about what people ate back in the day. He said "sticks........and leaves...." I died at the "not me doe"🤣🤣
  • LOL "I regret to inform you, you can still taste the lasagna" Something about the way that was worded just cracked me up
  • The look on your face when the coyotes were yipping should go on the Adventure Archives' highlight reel! 🤣

All the channels I have watched about hiking and camping this one has to be the best. All the vids are so well done and edited and you guys are all charismatic and funny. I enjoy all the vids. I’m late to the game but I’m in for the watches! Thanks for making my long ass days at work a little bearable lol

I had never heard of this place until I ran across this video. My wife and I had to go see it. What an amazing place! We fell in love with it. How weird. Some of the gorge is like the Grand Canyon with trees. The waterfalls are spectacular. We plan on returning again and again.

Adventure Archives helped inspire me to start hiking a few years back, and since I live in middle Tennessee, Savage Gulf was the first place I started! Seeing this video was absolutely amazing to me! Ranger Falls is an absolute jewel, still amazes me that all that water goes straight into the ground! If you go back during summer or dry times water can be hard to come by, I’d love to see you go back with the rest of the guys! Great trip Robby thank you so much for sharing!
  • Living in the west, I have not heard of the Savage Gulf. Thanks to this video, now I know how beautiful Tennessee is! This is a fantastic spring adventure; you can smell that fresh air and feel the excitement of everything coming back to life.

I just noticed, an extra 59k subscribers! The algorithm has been kind, your channel deserves a lot more subbies. I think I’m just being greedy here, I figure the more subs the more Robby does awesome hikes like this for us to watch.
  • @CourtneyMcFate
“I don’t know if I have it in me to beat it for 2 minutes.” I laughed out loud! 😂😂😂 Great episode! Loved it!
