  • Stop asking the UK Prime Minister about this. He cannot say anything different for diplomatic reasons. He cannot say Biden should stand down.

The US could learn a lot from the recent UK general election. The US spends way too much time and money on their elections.

What's wrong with the US where they can't find someone in their 40s or 50s to run for president?

We agree with new PM of UK, Keir Starmer: " It is for the U.S. voters to decide if Biden is too old to be leader ".

I love how, unlike so many/most American politicians, he actually answers most of the questions he is asked rather than dodging most and answering only a small number.

I only left the UK at the end of January 2019 because my student visa expired. This interview just makes me miss my former home even more. What an excellent new PM, such brilliant answers, confidence and perspective. I am sure Jake wishes he could leap across the Pond as well!
  • WoW! Such a good break to ACTUALLY have a comprehensive interview on the substance rather than infights and entertainment politics.

Lovely 🇬🇧. No drama Stahmer. Nice to see two men who are calm & normal & good at governing, maybe boring is better than circus showman?

You know it’s bad when even Britain is telling us to get our shit together
  • @dm-31024
No drama, Stahmer. Not getting sucked into inappropriate partisan questions. Very gently boundary setting with its tempting to get ahead of ourselves.

Headline: Starmer: Biden in "really good form... NATO meeting very successful, Biden deserves credit for that". CNN translation: "US to decide if Biden is too old" "we're hearing lots of different accounts from people who've had meetings" WHO, CNN? NZ: sharp, excellent interactions, on top of his brief on indo-pacific; Finland: "absolutely no concerns".

It's so nice to listen to a prime minister who can actually speak about what they going to do for the country. Feel sorry for the USA if Trump gets in as he cant speak very well either.
  • People age differently. Some are just 50 and over the hill, others are 100 and sharp like tacks
  • @mattinterweb
You should refer to him as Sir Keir Starmer, CNN

My PM, sensible and well measured and doing the job properly which hasn't happened for 14 years
