I had friends that knew Grace. They said she was funny, and crazy, a joy to be around! Anything for a laugh!

Letterman was must see back in the day. Fun, funny, snarky, smart. You don't know what you got till it's gone.

Grace Slick is a great personality.

Not only was she probably the best female rock voice, she was always one helluva of an interview.

When I was entering puberty, Grace was doing something to me from afar.

Grace was 48 years old here, and still looked good then.

Feed your head. Feed your head.

I remember this episode! Grace was always fun as hell and had (still has?) a wicked sense of humor! Thanks for the memories and great music you left us Grace!

Charlton Heston used the "not blowing my skirt up" line in True Lies 7 years after this appearance. This appearance was 6 months after the movie Mannequin came out and Grace and Starship had a #1 hit with the theme song "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now."

I like how Grace credits phrase friends.

First thing I have to do before watching the video is check the comment section to make sure she is still alive.

Donāt know if anybody else has heard this story. Apparently, back in the days when Grace fronted the original Jefferson Airplane, she used to wear one contact lens with a blackened star shape in/on it. It looked like her pupil was just a complete black star. Not sure if sheās short - sighted and had a clear contact lens for the other eye also. Grace Slick was/is one of the first ārock chicksā! I did read somewhere that Grace had a brother - in - law called Darby Slick who founded the band Great Society.
