Tucker going independent was an important moment in American history.

Government isn't the solution to this problem they are the problem.
  • @davidd.c.9344
Dennis, you're a class act in every respect. Appreciate your concern and patriotism for the United States. 💯💯

Just read One Second After. A real wake up call to this conversation.
  • @joshuaprets2044
I just enjoy hearing someone be allowed to talk. Without pointless interruptions. Without diarrhea and erectile dysfunction commercials of any kind. Just a conversation. You can't have this on cable news today.

I wish we had a government that spent money on preparation for something like this instead of money spent on meaningless wars.

I've been in the electric distribution and transmission industry for 40 years. It is unbelievable to me how vulnerable America is to all of this. America 's dependability on the system is unimaginable yet the ease with which it can fail is very real. Nothing is being done of any significance about it!!!
  • Wow! I’m watching this for the first time only days after we had a huge solar event (the event I’m referring to was on May 10, 2024). Talk about a real eye opening interview. I pray we never experience a power outage like this.
  • @theminutemen1275
It's been 165 years since the Carrington Event. We ignore this at our own peril. I think a 90% death rate is realistic, and it's not just my opinion, the experts agree. It's insane we have $200 billion for Ukraine - but for an EMP/Solar Event we can't even get started fixing the problem when it's a fraction of what we've spent in Ukraine alone. It's Criminal to continue being derelict in solving this problem, and hardening our electric grid.

My brother and I have worked in the electric utility industry for 20 years in almost every state. If the public only knew how close to the Stone Age we are everyday. Thanks Tucker for talking about things the media won’t.
  • Wow, I never knew Dennis Quaide was so fascinating. What an intelligent guy.
  • @yggdrasil9039
So important. Well done Dennis Quaid for raising this, and well done Tucker for hosting this.
  • In that event Let’s just hope the Amish treat us better than our society has treated them.

I have a degree in physics, and while he stumbles a bit (as a layperson would) he is rightly concerned. The profound lack of preparedness is alarming. Do NOT rely on the government for assistance. Self reliance is part of the American dream, and we should all strive for that...
  • I already went off grid, disconnected from power company. Heat off wood my property gathered. Its actually snowing May 6th at 9,000' mountains, nice and warm.
  • @wattda2
On March 13, 1989, a powerful geomagnetic storm triggered a major power blackout in Canada that left 6 million people without electricity for 9 hours.
  • @KELLYHLH
How brave is Dennis Quaid! Takes a real man to say what needs to be said publicly.
  • @achristine80
I met Quaid when he came to visit his mother at a hospital I was working at. He was very down to earth and kind.
  • Tucker you are like a kid starring with utmost fascination and laser focus to all your guests! I´ve never seen anyone with such a dedication to ´´LISTENING´´, JUST WATCHING YOU INPIRES ME! I´d love to meet someone with such a level of ineterest, dedication and respect! On of the best and most comfortable interviewers for the guests to open up to and be comfortable being observably valued and appreciated!
  • @dougbas3980
I studied this. This is exactly correct and very well presented. Very bad situation.
