My wife, who is not into any kind of metal, still does not realize what a beautiful gift she gave me when she accidentally found this song and shared it with me.

One of the many things I love about this is that I could play it. It's a complex piece with tonnes of melodic and harmonic variety, but Plini doesn't feel the need to spend the whole piece demonstrating he's amazing at guitar by shredding and sweep picking the whole way through. The complexity comes from its compositional sophistication, which I personally find more more interesting and impressive than your run of the mill shred guitarist.

A virtuoso guitarist that puts the song first and the technical show off second. That's what makes for a successful solo career and Plini is going that way.

Gotta be said Plini grabs every single good bit about Prog Metal, his stuff is heavy, melodic, technical, catchy, chill, cleverly written and to top it all of, he uses some pretty neat sounding synths, fucking quality

The prgression which starts at 5:05 is simply amazing. As a classic pianist myself I have to say that Plini has the impressiv ability that Chopin had in his Ballades: take a phase (riff) and constantly evolve that phrase throughout the entire piece. Simple and fucking difficult at the same time. Priceless.

I played this to my three months old baby boy and he almost instantly fell asleep. It's absolutely marvellous to share the joy of music and playing with your little one!

Man... this kind of music is the proof that new generation has the guts to carry on good music without being boring and annoying! Very, VERY nice!!!

7/8 is love 7/8 is life

I've been waiting to find something like this! Instrumental, and atmospheric, with metal riffs, but still slow paced... I LOVE IT!
-
Lil Skies' newest youtube upload "Name in The Sand" opens up with the same guitar riff as this song. As soon as I heard the opening I just wanted to hear the original. So beautiful! Love you Plini

The lyrics are so thoughtful

That bastard, makes interesting, catchy, hooky parts in every song so you can't stop listening. Knows his job :)

That clean arpeggio gives me goosebumps every time.

There's a big "Bucket Head" feel in that sublime piece of music.
