We've updated the quiz! ➔    • What Type of Brain Do You Have?

I went through medical school a few years after my brother Mike. So I thought I had all the juicy secrets. But it turns out that after I tried his methods, my grades got worse and I was struggling more than before. It took some time before I realized that everything I knew about studying was wrong. In fact, I was lied to by most successful students about how I should be studying. The thing is, everyone can only give advice based on what they know or what works for them. But we have to learn what works for US. The first step in self-discovery is to learn about our brain type. It guides us to focus on the right things and our behaviors. When we try generic study tips, we get generic results. Because we are all built different. Take the 3 minute brain type quiz, and identify your ideal study style. Which club will you match?

Team Tora here. I got 6 As, 2 Bs and 2 Cs. Thanks for this video, I hated it so much when my husband just do things and learn as he goes. I'm a type of person who read the instructions word for word first lol. I get frustrated in group settings when others are not "serious".
  • Club Kuma! lets go!!! I am almost moved to tears, it really feels good to even just address this question of what kind of brain i have because i know now that nothing is wrong with me, i just haven't operating in a way that i wasn't designed to. But everything CHANGES NOW!
  • Team Kuma! I’m a first-year med student finding myself in a major period of adjustment when it comes to managing my studies and combating procrastination so I’ve been binging your videos the past week! Thanks Mike and Matty for this one (and all the helpful videos you’ve made before) and I can’t wait to see more of what you have in store for us!

Team Kitsune! I teach classes in Japan so not only do your videos help me and my learning but it helps me understand my students more!

I am a 65-year-old Kitsune (explains so much) who is using your materials to prepare my now homeschooled 12-year-olds for college. Thanks for your efforts in making all this.

I really like how time efficiently built your videos are! Straight to the point with short introductions to begin and never too long. This kind of content actually makes the viewers get to work instead of watching tutorials for hours. Thank you for your work!! :)

Team Tora here! Watching this video, really helps me a lot to what kind of brain I have. I understand everything now. It's either I'm sensitive and least sensitive. I got 5A's 2B's and 3C's. I also love being Tora, so thank you for this video!

Loved this! Kitsune here. I've realized that I do better with creative tasks - new projects I have never done before, design etc, and I get bored doing the same thing very quickly! To stay motivated, I have to be doing several things so that I can switch from one thing to another when I feel stressed. I also multitask well and anxiety becomes the push I need to meet deadlines. Great video!

Tora - I usually stay up, wake up early, spend around 30 minutes when needed on work or studying, always take notes, mostly A’s

Team Tora here !! Really liked the test, it showed what my inner self is and how I'm in a group and go in my life. All the options were good and choosing the best for ourselves was a point ☝🏻!

I got Kuma. Honestly, I'm more of a calm yet short tempered person when it comes to stressful situations. But honesly Kuma just fits me a lot, and I'm proud of it.

Your explanation on how negative emotions or thoughts affect studying was a game changer for me. I try and make studying a religious zen experience where everything in my power to address the fires around me has been performed and now I can focus on the subjects that are a segway to a life without those fires. TEAM TORA 🔥 depending on some answers my As and Bs were almost equal so I may relate to Kitsune too. I tried to get some perspective watching all of the videos and I can say, I relate to all in different ways.

When I found this, I immediately liked it and subscribed!! I also shared it with a friend 😆By the way, I tied with Tora and Kuma club and I also did the quiz... I landed with Tora and Kitsune club as my secondary. I even watched all three brain types videos and I think Kitsune should have been first... Lol, I told my friend I am Kitsune because of the part about frequent gassing 😂😅😆Love the video! Thank you so much! 🙏

It's a very interesting but also difficult set of questions to answer. I realised I don't really know myself that well. I always dreamt of having many skills but I never got to actually learn any of them. Your videos make me realise I just never really approached it right and instead of being discouraged I should just start learning. I think after I do that answering those questions would be easier, and my answers may change as well. I'm looking forward to getting to know myself more and seeing what I'm really capable of :D
