This is my longest time lapse video that I ever put together so far as of 2013.This shows every single mile Las Vegas NV to Walt Disney World in the Orlando FL area.It took 96 gallons of gas and 35.5 driving time hours to get there. My car was a 2000 Z-28 with 200,000 miles on a six year old battery.I glad that I didn't have a breakdown.

Love this! Very cool the way you can avoid the boredom of seeing, like, the same mountain coming toward you for an hour. This way, it's done in a few minutes. You get to see the scenery without the monotony. Really enjoyed this. Thanks.

Finally!!! Someone who knows the difference between the left lane and the right lane.
  • @LeCartographe64
I watched the entire video too. The music tracks are awesome (and keep the journey entertaining), and it's great to see the scenery change so much, especially in Texas. Keep them coming!

Imagine driving all the way to find out space mountain was closed for refurbishment....

i'm from italy and i apprecieted very much this video, it's  like to visit a part of states. the changing of nature and climate from nevada (dry) to louisiana and florida (rain) is amazing!
  • @CWMDV
I admire your courage for crossing the country like that. Salute!

That was a great time lapse drive I've seen from you Barbara. Thanks for letting me see other parts of the country that I've never seen before from ground level. I like your time lapse drive from Vegas to Denver too. It brought back great memories of driving with my family and relatives from driving to Vegas from Denver where I live back in '02 and back. That was such a fun trip even though getting to your destination by flying would be cheaper and way faster but only half the fun because all you see from 30K to 35K feet are clouds and mountains down below intead of seeing changes in landmarks drving from state to state as well as the altitude. Man once you drove through Louisiana there were all kinds of trees driving through swamp lands. But all those major cities you drove through were great to see because now I want to do the same thing some day. Thanks for posting this as well as your other time lapse drives as I will try and watch them all cause it's the closet thing to actually trying this myself but right now unlikely since it will take time and money and the right reliable vehicle too that is great on gas of course I wish the gas wasn't between 3 and 4 bucks a gallon nowadays.
  • This lamb is so happy to see this video is back up! This lamb got gasoline at the same exit in Slidell that the overnight stay occurred. This lamb had to vacation in January 2018 because the heat any other time of year would have been torture, because this lamb has thick wool, being from Wellsboro PA. The tropical vegetation was great considering my species needs to eat hay to sustain themselves during the long winter in Wellsboro.

The music you put together on this time lapse drive was cool especially when reaching Louisiana with Kool and the Gang. I will call I-10 "the palm tree freeway" since it connects every major city from LA where it begins and ends in Jacksonville with all those cities consists of palm trees even though you actually started the trip from your home in Vegas another city with the palms. I'm glad you didn't break down on the way to Orlando. That's one great car you have.
  • @lilguava70
Whoa, it's so awesome seeing someone drive on the same streets that I do
  • @MrPacMan36
It's Always cool to see videos on YouTube of places you've been. I was looking for you passing through Tallahassee (thanks for naming the places in the video). But you went above and beyond and pulled off at 196, got caught at that light (as always) right before pulling into Chevron.
  • You should do a 2023-2024 winter break timelapse drive from Las Vegas, Nevada to Orlando, Florida, but starting at your house and ending up in Walt Disney World.

Mobile & New Orleans have very nice skylines from the I-10. Escambia bay and the other large causeway, Pontchartrain. Just a beautiful stretch of high the I-10. I hope to have an opportunity to ride it someday. Maybe as a senior in a camper :)
  • @milewayroads
May 25, 2023: It's the 10th Anniversary of this trip since this was filmed exactly a decade ago!
  • @BoratWanksta
Great job with this video! The vid part where you hit the Louisiana portions including going through New Orleans and over the Lake Ponchtrain(sp?) Causeway, brought back tons of memories from my trip there way back in the 2000s. Ditto with going through Mobile, AL as well. I loved seeing some of the parts of I-10 I've always wanted to travel out to but never have, such as western Texas east of El Paso on I-10.
