Esther de Koning offers us a super short acting course. Her performances can be
described as a mix between stand-up comedy and theater. On stage she is full of
energy, combining absurd humor with her limitless imagination. Her style does shake
people’s expectations and that’s what happened on stage during our conference.
Esther’s performance is humorous, interactive and a little confrontational.

Actress, writer and theater producer Esther de Koning is known for her honest and
tragicomic productions for both young and adult audiences. Esther has won several
prestigious national awards. From The Hague, Esther has studied and then worked at
the Theater Academy in Maastricht. She now lives in Valkenburg. In a castle. True
story.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

This is was really cool and funny !! What she was basically trying to say is to take your character over the top. Make it worse. Make it funnier. Make it more dramatic. Whatever it is go for more.
  • "So you're now my husband. That went quick!" hahha, I had to think if she actually had used Quick the family name in there with double meaning 😂
