In this video, I talk about an opportunity to get a tech job in 2024 that requires no degree and no experience. It is a paid opportunity that allows you to gain registered certifications and learn about your chosen track while getting work experience! 🤯 (including UX, engineering, marketing, and more)

I'm talking about apprenticeships, a great way to get paid work experience and learn the skills you need for a tech job, without having to go to college or have any prior experience. I specifically focus on the Google UX Design Apprenticeship, but I also mention that other tech companies have apprenticeships available as well, which you can find the links to below: 👇

  • As an experienced graphic designer wanting to make a big career switch into UI/UX, I literally don't know where to start. I am currently taking the Google UX Certification Program and a huge part of my interest is in UX Research. Your video gave me insight on what to do next. Cheers!!
  • Thanks. This was very informative. Are there any apprenticeships for African but remotely?
  • @blognroses3161
First of all, I love your content SO much! I am currently a PhD student in HCI with a specialty in UI/UX design. Am I eligible to an internship or is it only for undergraduates?
  • @charlie.saturday
Awe! I found your video the VERY day after they closed applications 😭 But thanks so much for the info!! Do you have any other suggestions for entry/jr ux-ers? Im completely self-taught. I've spent the last year and a half learning all there is to learn, including some volunteer products I created (to learn software). But Im ready to work now and would like to work with a company but have no clue where to find the jobs to fit my criteria

This is such great info! Thank you for sharing. I'm currently in the middle of completing the Google UX Design Certificate and I'm a bit worried about the resume part for these apprenticeships since I don't have a resume that particularly caters to design nor do I have a completed portfolio. Should I submit a resume that deals specifically with UX or would a regular resume (mine has mentions of my past work experiences in international-related fields and marketing) suffice? Also, which would be a better path to choose when getting your foot in the door of UX: an internship or an apprenticeship? I'm super interested in UXD and my passion for it is growing so I'm hoping that by the time the applications open I have something to show 😭
  • @Saarthii-en7gi
Thanks for the video! It was a very useful information for me. I am from India. I am switching career from marketing to ux, how helpful is this to finally get a job offer after completing?
  • @nnothing9032
Thanks for pumping out all these awesome vids and congratz on 1k! As a 4th year undergrad, I'm currently applying to internships and was wondering if you would recommend submiting ATS friendly resumes or designed ones in your experience?
  • @lululcretia123
Thank you for making these videos! It really eases the anxiety of entering the UX field. I am a college graduate going through a career change and a complete newbie to UX, I'm genuinely enthusiastic about pursuing apprenticeships. Do you have any additional guidance or resources that could assist me in standing out and securing an apprenticeship? Congrats on 1K subs!!!
  • @beccaleighbeauty
Love your content! Can you do a video going over resumes/cover letters for those with no experience? Keep up the great work!
  • @andrewkim1422
Thank you for the info.! It's really helpful! It looks like these apprenticeships might have certain time of periods opening up the spot for the candidates as I see they don't hire anyone at this moment. I will def. check these out periodically to see what applicable programs are out there! Thank you!
  • @jeiranjeniv6719
