Avoiding ultra processed foods is probably the single most important piece of health advice for everyone in the developed world.

I have stage 4 ovarian cancer and so far 12 rounds of chemo. My days would began with bread, baked beans, cereals etc and I would just go back to sleep most hours of the day cos I was just tired. I wasn't feeding my cells their blueprint but then I changed the beginning of my days with eating whole foods. For three months now I start my days of with baked sweet potatoes, yams, Steamed greens and two eggs, fruits. As long as I gave my body that startup in the morning and during the day I would eat brown rice or peanut butter wheat sandwhichs. I and everyone around me saw a drastic change. I had energy, I was cooking, sweeping and mopping the house, my muscles grew and I put on 7kg and my oncologist says I'm doing well for a stage 4 person. Another thing too is my accites. From being drained 8 litres of abdominal fluid every 3 weeks to now only 400ml every two weeks.

The newly appointed Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson ought to make healthy eating a vital part of education in primary and secondary schools.

I am already on board with this advice, but this is very helpful information. I want to drill this information into my head again and again.
  • I've stopped eating carbs and sugars. No cakes, biscuits ect. No take aways or fast foods. I've gone back to eating as I did as a youngster... School dinners.. Meat and two veg once a day... Real food. 👍
  • I wish my family would watch your videos , especially my sisters , they wouldnt even have the attention span to watch it and as soon as they feel attacked they'll click off . Oh well you cant change people i've learned that, they have to change on their own

Really reminds me of the talks by Chris Van Tulleken, UPFs are killing us
  • I wish more doctors were like you I think there would be a lot less sick people. Some people won’t listen to someone like me especially older family members. I’ve changed my diet to mostly organic whole food and like your patient feel so much better. I sometimes have a blip at weekend.but look forward to getting back on track because I feel so much better. People say organic is expensive but it’s cheaper than filling my shopping basket with rubbish so it doesn’t work out any more and tastes better. I don’t have any cereals , drink fruit juice just whole fruit and whole veg. Thank you - love your pod casts they keep me company whilst driving and doing the housework!
  • Currently I am doing Intermittent Fasting 16:8. 16 hours fasting (6PM - 12PM the next day) then 8 hours feeding time. What I noticed is that I have more energy throughout the day. On feeding time, I eat very high quality unprocessed foods (nuts, avocado, vegetables, fish, fruits for dessert). I hope it will help to heal my fatty liver and anxiety.

This is a wonderful video that shows the care and concern of mankind. You are a very kind Doctor. I am in America in Southwest Missouri and I watch you frequently and have been impressed with the suggestions you give to patients. I eat naturally good every day but I must confess there are times I do eat a little processed food once in awhile but I really don't think it's necessary. I needed to see this video to give me a push to stop the processed and go all authentic naturally. Love it! Thank You! 🙂
  • @ferb1980
Very well said 👌🏻 I've implemented many of them rules... my weight drop down from 115kg to 90kg, I get rid of high blood pressure... I feel so much better... it's unbelievable. Thank you for spreading this knowledge, as many people doesn't realise how easy it is 💪🏻👋🏻

This is an extraordinarily valuable video. While listening to this video today, I came up with a snack recipe: ▪︎Sweet potato raw and sliced. ▪︎ Plant powered ranch dressing from Schnucks groceries. ▪︎ Diced red onions. ▪︎ Pepper, parsley, cayenne, etc. Thank you for all you do. Frank
