SECRETS AND CLUES, BOB!! Where are the secrets?? =D Thank you so much for the awesome video!

You are the Bob Ross of DnD commentary.

I have Sly Flourishs' book and I am pretty sure that 'secrets and clues' is one of his most important concepts. Still, I am eager to see the upcoming gameplay!

I run a D&D club for my local school district and I DM several annual campaigns for middle and high students. I had been stocking copies of the core 5e manuals to check out to students, including those who want to run their own campaigns. I like the Lazy Dungeon Master so well, I think I will start stocking extra copies to loan out instead of the official 5e DM book. I will also be recommending your videos to my students starting next season!

I whole heartedly agree that lazy prep is the way to go! Don't stress over prepping too much, just go with the flow and have a great time!

As a new DM, I've seen tons of videos on DMing and this style of video is honestly the most helpful - definitely be picking up Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master when finances permit; thanks!

Bob's content is a superfood. Packed with nutrients for your DM brain.

Loved this video format! Could watch Bob prepping for hours.

Sly flourish's books have always been a great help, going back to the original Lazy DM book. His Lazy DM's Workbook is an incredible resource, WotC should've come up with something like it a long time ago. His Fantastic Locations and Fantastic Adventures have also been great and I used both in my campaigns over the years.

Im thinking about running a game for the first time soon. This method of prep seems right up my alley, especially for a first timer!
  • @SuouEtsumi
Love the little side comments to yourself haha This was really useful! Nice to see how to 'translate' the adventure as written into the main plot points and how to scrap or adapt things!
  • Amazing content! Super Helpful for a DM beginner like me, we usually spend too much time on unimportant stuff. Hope session video come out soon!
  • @StarKnightZ
Hey Bob! Seeing your process really helped me prep my game for this weekend. Will you ever do more of these? It would be really great to see you break down how to prep different kinds of adventures.
  • I'm playing a oneshot tonight and this saved me so much time! Thank you for the great content as always!
  • @abroniewski
BOB! I’ve always been searching for the full process: planning through to gameplay. THANK YOU for sharing your process and making use of sly’s tools. So so so helpful I’d love to hear a debrief AFTER the session with your thoughts on how the session went too.

I'm a big fan of the lazy dm. Keep up the informative videos.
  • @evendur7162
I would love to see you use some of the newer Lazy DM materials like the companion and workbook for a similar session prep style video!
  • @pb-bx1ll
Great video, love the way you stream lines it. I also use the lazy dm book!!
