Ah, is that why Dino's speaking is so nice to listen to...? Because the dialect he usually uses at home's more melodious?
  • DK’s accent was so strong even his sneeze was not saved from ending with 유 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
  • @NSouka1123
i can lowkey tell that wonwoo actually has a strong accent in they way he talks like his tone and the way he pronunces the word is different and we see some cases where his "satori"? comes out (eg idol room)
  • @cottonclouds
i love dino's jeolla dialect, when he really gets into it he starts sounding like an old man lol. it reminds me of the german dialect swabian which i'm really used to. i think if dino could speak german, he'd fit right in
  • @LW-bt8pc
as a kpop fan and linguistics nerd this video is amazing!! it truly helps international fans (like myself) to better understand the nuances of our favourite artist’s voice which unless you speak the language fluently is very hard to do. the way someone speaks is a big part of their identity and personality, i want to thank you so much for introducing that new part to us ✨
  • @irismoon8435
I hope that eventually people stop being criticized for their dialect 😢 I love the flavor and variety it adds.
  • @wonwoorideul-
I’m always interested in Satoori and since my ult bias is Wonwoo, I’d love to learn more about his Satoori. Aside from Going Seventeen’s clips, I tried to search more but I couldn’t identify whether Wonwoo is speaking with dialect or not. Thanks to this video, I may be able to find more (for example from In the Soop) 😆 and as always, thank you so muchieeeeeee Gagya!!!💖 you’re literally the best!
  • @cielo9296
I thought It's scoups and woozi are the one has strong accent. But from your explanation, it seems Wonwoo has the strongest intonation
  • In many GoSe eps I actually felt Wonwoo had an accent or used Satoori, this clarifies it a lot. Also not sure about Gangwon but I know Jeju has a very different Korean in general. I had seen a video where 5/6 guys from different district spoke in Satoori and no one could figure out Jeju satoori, they were legit like are you even talking in Korean ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Hence I am more curious about Jeju satoori hehe. Btw since this is about dialects, I was curious about Mingyu. I know he doesn't have any dialect but from the start the way he spoke always seemed unique to me, but I'm not quite sure why... (I'm not Korean btw, I have just learned the language). Does he have a specific way of speaking or is he just speaking fast idk. I had read a twitter thread where SVT translators were talking about few specifics of the members where they did say that Mingyu and Jeonghan sometimes eat few syllables/words when they talk, and Mingyu more than Jeonghan tho I think, or something similar. So like what do you think? Is there something different Mingyu does when he speaks?
  • @alliebean3235
satoori was SO fascinating to me when i first started learning about korean language, i did a lot of deep dive research into it lmao. in addition to what you've said in the video, i'd like to add that Jeolla-do satoori is often described as "bouncy" and "lively" - jhope bts is a perfect example! even when he doesn't use satoori-specific words or particles, his intonation still shows that bounciness. Chungcheong satoori i've heard described as very slow and relaxed, to the point where there are jokes about how slowly they speak lmao. and i think we've all heard the stereotype about Gyeongsang satoori being tough and strong! world of dave did a great video with some friends from different regions showing the differences between them!
  • i can only recognise the busan accent woozi uses in Bad Clue 2. thanks so much for this fun yet entertaining video.
  • @dandelions909
I would love more of this as Im super interested in accent as a none-native learning korean. However, instead of an example of different dialects I would love it if you did a break-down by member of how they speak and their dialects and how they are different.. (as a none-native, we would never be able to pick-out these things, unless very advance) sort of like how you did with Wonwoo. Member by member, that would be so interested and fun
  • @yeahhmom
I want more dialects!! It’s refreshing to hear them and helpful to have them be pointed out because I would have absolutely no idea otherwise. Thank you :)
  • @13edThyme
My mom has chungcheong satoori and I could never quite put my finger on WHY it sounded different but now I know. Thank you Gagya!! 🤍🤍🤍
  • @trashfire7474
Listening has always been my weakest area when learning other languages, so it's really rare for me to ever pick up on different dialects when someone is speaking. I wish I was better at it! Also, I love the little animations you use to illustrate your point those are super great
  • @meli3pot
Such a fun and creative way to teach this topic!! I love it! I was very engaged and learned a lot <3
  • @___K7
Omg what a fun channel! I have been learning Korean casually since 2020 but recently fell for Seventeen. This is perfect!
  • @f4iryblue
2:42 hannies jyu got me crying bc its so fkinh cute 😭
  • @user02406
thank you sm for this video!!! this is such a cute way to learn
