Hey everyone! I feel pretty proud of this one, played a good round at Kilborne in NC and tried to really focus in on explaining my thought process/strategy for practice rounds in preperation for tournaments, and just some tips in general that I hope will help you improve your game.

This was initially a Patreon exclusive that my Patrons have had access to for a while already, but I wanted to share it to the main channel to show you guys what kind of exclusive content you can expect for Patrons in the future!

This is why I got annoyed when someone on r/discgolf said Uli is dumb. Yeah he's a goof ball, but if you think he is dumb you aren't actually listening to him talk about disc golf. Uli is one of the most analytical golfers in the pro field he's broken down and rebuilt his own game multiple times and continues to do so. If anyone wants to become a better disc golfer this is who you should listen to because the tools he uses to get top 10 finishes are the same ones you can use to improve your game. Thanks Uli for being such a great ambassador for the sport and showing people that disc golf is about thinking about your game just as much as it is about execution.

Apparently Jerm has 5 accounts. I can't think of any other reason their would be down votes on this video nice work Uli!

I respect the hustle you've shown this past year, Uli! You've really become one of my favorite touring pros thanks to your personality and abilities. And your YouTube channel is becoming one of my favorites. Can't wait to check out 'From Scratch to Scratch'. Keep it up in 2021!

This is best practice round of disc golf I've ever watched! There are plenty of practice round videos out there, but your video gives context and strategy into your mind set, disc selection, and shot selection. Please create more videos like this!

"I'm not lucky, I'm playing intelligently". After this video, I believe it, Paul. Great insight into your thought process. Thanks for the video!

All good points. I like the "think you're the furthest away" thinking so when you get there, you think "oh it's not that bad" and make that f'r!
  • This is a great video, haven't heard practice broken down quite like this. I appreciate hearing your entire thought process.

You are the ultimate tactician in this sport. Along with Mr. Sexton of course.
  • Hey Paul good luck on this season! It's easier to hear you when you face the camera, than when you turn your head away.

This kind of video helps new players like me a lot. Breaking down the hole, what disc to throw and more importantly how to throw it. Thanks and make more videos like these. Your going to win in Vegas, my money is on you bud.

Uli, you are a content producing machine! ...not only the quantity, but the quality is over the top.

As a relative beginner this is very helpful! Playing in my first tournament next weekend, so I’ll be utilizing these practice tips all week long!
  • I love these type of videos. Between your channel and Ricky's I learn so much about what to look for. By far my favorite to watch for information. Plus you bring my kinda humor! Thank you for your vids!
  • @mattm8291
So rad that a professional disc golfer is doing this on a course I play often, love the video format of breaking down your shots on each hole, not many pros are making vids like this, it really appeals to the regular guy like me just playing for fun but still wanting to play well and understand shot selections! Oh and by the way I'm totally getting a Uli Z Raptor!
  • @zevacher
Yep. This is why Uli is going to become one of the best, if not the best, DG coach around. This info/content is pure gold.
  • @ctoepper
Uli, you’re the best - this video speaks volumes to your professionalism, dedication, and passion about the sport. How lighthearted you can come across in the ‘mic’d up practice rounds’ doesn’t give way to show how thoughtful you are about your own game. Glad to see someone take themselves seriously but in a healthy way- thanks for the fuel to keep wanting to improve 💯✊
  • @connerloes7224
I consider myself a good putter and have played for a long time but that was one of first things you said to me that I had never heard too many ppl focus on making it instead of just form and a release point so true and simple
  • You're a great teacher, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
  • @keonikahala8531
This was buy far the best calculated break down video I’ve seen and yes I want to see more videos just like this.🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
  • Videos like this are my favorite to watch and the way you break down holes and shots is on another level. Thanks for the great info and fun video man!
