  • I discovered this gem while staying in a shelter in Boyle Heights. I learned so much about the local history. It was part of a Walk LA offered for a walking tour of Boyle Heights.

This happens more than you'd imagine. City of Whittier CA has a park called Founders Park which was once two separate cemeteries across from each other and the city of Whittier left about 3k people buried still under the park and under several houses alongside the park. Only about 3% of the deceased were relocated to Rose hills cemetery. The headstones were removed and stacked up in the back parking lot of the Whittier museum until they were discarded. Only a few were kept for the museum. Founders Park is the only known haunted park in uptown Whittier and the only park that gets foggy. City of Whittier has no shame. The people buried there are also the original founders of Whittier.

referring to METRO, I've read some behind the scenes stuff with the gondola project that is pretty disturbing involving previous Dodger owner Frank McCourt & METRO... hope people with a moral compass look into it.
  • Please stop showing these kackala ads. Do not want to see them.

Do you guys realize that everything that has ever lived here has also died here? I mean, i don't know everything, i could be wrong, but the living are definitely the minority, so isn't everything else part of something dead?
