We get a lot of questions about how to move an OLED TV here at Abt. In this video, we show you the safest way to move it from one spot to another and avoid damaging the screen. The model we used is the Sony XR65A80K. This simple process can be applied to most models available on the market. In some cases, the hand you use to lift the TV will need to go into a spot on the back of the set instead of on the bottom like we show in the video.

I think when most people use the search phrase "move OLED TV" they're wanting to know how to move it from one home to another, not how to move it within a home.

11 thousand very responsible people evidently 😂
  • I know your advice is the best BUT I live alone, no one to help me. 65" sits on my floor with the feet in outer position. I need to move it 4-5 ft to the right. I'm aware of the cord, etc. Best part??? I'm a 4'11" 70 yr old. Haha. So I'm going to move it forward then get behind it so not to touch/damage screen. Then gently barely lift up and a small slide. It might take me 20 tries but I guarantee you I will get it done. I have the strength from above 😇 to help me. Thank God ✌️

I appreciate it this video since my tv stand is arriving later than my TV, and I am super anxious that I’ll need to move it.

Great. But what if you have no option but to set it up on your own? How does one do this? 55in TV. OLED. Or do I just hire a student to help me?
  • Yeah moving an already set up TV feels redundant. I wanna know how you get the TV out of the box and Styrofoam without grabbing the screen.... if you can do that I'll be impressed lol

Thank you guys as always. Very educational videos of all types on your channel

I'm about to move house, I was hoping not to move so soon after buying the OLED but my landlord had other idea. This is stressing me out more than anything else hahaha
  • I don't think that many people are moving them from one table to another but rather from the ground to a table... Sure is easier to make a video this way though

what can i use to lie the oled tv with secure without dangerous the screen ?

Good advice. However, I want to move my 65 inch OLED tv from the third floor to the second floor which means taking it down a flight of stairs. I’d appreciate any advice you have. I do have the original shipping container of that helps. Thanks!
  • I have an LG CX 77inch. The screen is super thin as it extends out from the base. I'm not sure it can be handled as far out as the TV you guys are using. Any ideas? I need to move it to paint the room it is in. I may have to just do my best to reach to the thicker base part. Thanks

Good thing sony is the only oled brand this year reinforcing their oled tv’s and not turn them into curved tv’s like samsung
  • @rootbeer8994
My only comment is don't unplug the TV by pulling on the cord. Unplug it by pulling at the end of the plug. This will ensure that you don't damage the cable.
  • @paullasko2023
lol, you skipped the cardboard and moving blankets.
  • @calabamian
Oh you have a second person? How conveeeeeenient.
  • @Suduaya
I'm moving a 77 inches next week, it will be difficult not to touch the screen going down the stairs i think. What product can i use to safely remove the marks of my hands afterwards if there are any ?
  • @jakeblack212

  • Are Sony A80K and A90K the same but the only difference is the screen sizes
