Total respect for your integrity in providing us with clear engineering quality recommendations for certain wheelsets. It's a minefield without such detailed analysis from someone we can trust. Thanks.
  • As commented on the original video: fully support PT's opinion, etc. One note though (as mentioned on the product page) the wait list for these is now getting seriously long. Production capacity is increasing, but they're being super cautious (for obvious reasons!) so please wait patiently. We handle orders in first-come first-served basis, but please be patient.

Peak Torque keeping manufacturers honest! Now, test another one anonymously In a year. See if they're looking after those same standards that set possesses.

I've had these these wheels for 4 weeks now and have put on about 2100kms and 25k of elevation... they are unreal, phenomenal acceleration and just rolls really well. Even better than my hyper d45's. Customer service is the best I've experienced as well. Highly recommend if you can get them
  • @DDGB08
You truly are a top tier YouTube reviewer. Great job!!
  • @rg807
Let's be honest: they are super light, and super beautiful, and just like in other "areas" of life, that's a tough combo to say no to.
  • @jscalabre
Yes!! Thank you mate. Awesome video. Just ordered my pair of 50-60s
  • @Aeroskiii
Start selling ur special rotors. chop chop engineer boy
  • @LucasAndino-nl5ww
Thanks so much for the video! Would you recommend these wheels over the Elite Drive? I know you haven't aero-tested the Elite wheels, but given what you know of both wheelsets...

So, there was a major issue with these that made its way to market, and the solution is that they'll start QC'ing them for the problem only now. This whole QC only after the problem is found isn't going to work well for these Chinese brands entering the Western market for the first time. Its just backwards. Fingers crossed this is a one time issue. I'd love these brands to succeed, but it shouldn't be the consumers responsibility to find what still needs some QC. Peak, you've said over and over that these brands are rushing to market, and I totally agree. Rushing these products to market without better QC/QA does more harm than good to long term sales.

I purchased these wheels and only got a few rides in before I got hit by a car. Subjectively, the combination of light weight and low drag with these on my F10 made them a gamechanger from the 2019 404 NSW I was using before. The acceleration going downhill was unlike anything I had experienced before and the front of the bike became extremely light and playful. I am a huge fan of the every so slightly slacker geo of the dogmas vs road bikes (cervelos, specialized) as it feels a touch more stable, but man these wheels sure changed how reactive the front of the bike behaved. Also note that the cockpit is darimo so the front should feel lighter to start.

Thanks for the update and the reminder that years of engineering knowledge does not come cheap....certainly not in the realms of the price of a wheelset.....
  • @KS-go2ig
So with only 16 spokes with a disc brake do you foresee any problems?
  • Did you see any of the pitting on the carbon spokes that others have complained of? ....and did you do any stiffness testing? Thanks!!
  • @fritz324
Do you know when we can expect your review of the hyper SEs? I'm very interested in your opinion of them since I'm contemplating buying a set
  • Great information here. Did you say that you had a 30mm on the rear wheel and a 28mm on the front? I was originally interested in the CRW 5060, but worried about the fork clearance of my Seka Exceed RDC, so the CRW 5055 look to be the ticket. I want to use a 28mm and possibly even 30mm tires. Thanks
  • Thank you for the thorough review! I’ve got them on order and now I know what to watch out for.
