The Supreme Court on 14 January agreed to hear the PIL of BJP leader & advocate Ashwini Upadhyay, challenging Article 370 and separate Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. The Apex Court tagged it with another pending matter and will hear all matters on Tuesday 2nd April. Article 370 of the Indian constitution is an article that gives autonomous status to the state. The article is drafted in Part XXI of the Constitution: Temporary, Transitional and Special Provisions, the state of Jammu & Kashmir has been accorded special status under Article 370. All the provisions of the Constitution which are applicable to other states are not applicable to J&K. For example, till 1965, J&K had a Sadr-e-Riyasat for governor and prime minister in place of Chief Minister.

J Sai Deepak - the God's Advocate in the Sabarimala Case is now the Kashmiri Pandit's (in a manner of speaking) advocate. Always in awe of his articulation.

Whenever we discuss about the Valley, then we must not forget it's significant region called Ladakh. Because they are main victims of all the issues going on in Kashmir. This is the main reason that they are demanding Union Territory status, means they want to separate from the Valley based government. Ladakh importance must be considered whenever we are dealing with the issues of the state J&K....... Thanks RSTV for including Ladakh in your discussion, especially for Mr. Advocate Sir.......!

  • Rana Banerjee only played with words and had no substance... Mr Sushil Pandit showed great light on the issue and I don't think much need to be said about j Sai Deepak

Frank Rausan Pereira is Amazed by J Sai Deepak knowledge on legal matters.
  • Mr. Sai Deepak is a right man at right place. He knows his subject well. It is always very enlightening to hear him speak. With due respect to Mr. Pandit and his grip over the knowledge of the issue. He shouldn't have given the debate a 'personal touch' reflecting his emotional bias towards this Kashmiri issue.

Good to listen to this debate when 370 has gone just by a great move by Government. There is no scope of consensus before removing 370 given it can affect livelihood of many politicians. They won't let it happen
  • I am very much agree with SUSHIL SIR AND SAI DEEPAK sir ... It's important to remove 370 for development of india and j&k as well...
  • Sai deepak addresses the core issues very well which should be taken into cognizance, politically there couldn't be any soln bcoz kashmiri separatists never stands upto national importance talkings, best way to deal with this is to be through litigations for women empowerment and minority rights.
  • Mr. J Sai Deepak as always this time also you nailed it!! Man knowledge ho apni field mein toh like you man.👍👍
