The reason hes talking to Jake at 3 am is because hes been on hold since 12 noon and finally got a person

Even after they replaced him, the original Jake still delivers his line in the new commercial better than the new Jake.

According to a follow-up interview in 2014, Jake had quit his part-time job at State Farm and become a seasonal employee for the town of Normal, Ill. He also worked as a bartender at a place called Pub II. He would still get recognized, but admitted that life hadn't changed that much for him.

Ohhh, I finally realized. The guy that he asks, “Do they ever ask you what your wearing?” Is the old Jake.

Hey for all those worried that they replaced Jake from State Farm in a pandering attempt, I have some good news. The original Jake from State Farm was an actual agent who won a contest to be in the commercial. He was not an actual actor and did not want to appear in more commercials. Thus the company hired a new actor to play Jake in further commercials. However, they are not passing him off as the same Jake, and have confirmed that he is a different character who just also happens to be named Jake. Otherwise, it would be a little weird that he was talking to the original Jake in this commercial. You heard me right, that is the other agent he talks to is the original Jake!

Lol the original is great with the “that sounds like a good deal” but the way he delivers it is funny as hell.
