So what’s his plan for parents who lost children? My aunt and uncle buried their only son. They are both now childfree. Do they both lose their right to vote or become lesser-than? And do their voices regarding the issues that took my cousin’s life suddenly become irrelevant?

The childless progressive cat ladies I know are quite happy, thanks very much, and they want other people to be happy, too. Vance is projecting his own misery onto others.

I am infertile. So, I guess I am also worthless to him. This is the problem. Just brushing off an entire group of people he knows nothing about is BS in every single way a thing can be BS?

I’m childfree by choice. I’m not miserable nor do I own a cat. Where did I go wrong?

Follow the Republican societal norm, the likely outcome is that you marry at 20, pop out a kid or six, forgo a career. At 40, your husband trades you in for two 20 year olds and your kids blame you for the marriage failure. At 60, you find that you have a meager retirement income, no alimony or child support and little in the way of emotional support. That scenario is a very real consequence of putting others above yourself. Women need to realize that while they are putting others' interests first, no one is taking care of them.
