these cars aren't even in the same league anymore. yes the civic is more expensive, but it's substantially better. way roomier, more refined, more features, better looking, better materials etc...
  • They both can reach 50+ mpg, but the Civic is actually quick (0-60 in 6.2 seconds), while the Corolla is really slow (0-60 in 9.0 seconds). By the time the Corolla hits 60, the Civic is over 8 car lengths ahead.

Team Civic! 👏🏼 Hybrid is also available as a hatch while the Corolla isn’t. I have the 22 Sport Touring and it already punches above its weight in refinement and dynamics. Can’t imagine it with a hybrid.

The Corolla is still a good car, but no comparison to the Civic here, in performance, amenities and all things it had before the update, and looks bigger, more comparable to the Camry. And don't forget the increased performance and acceleration as already commented.

The Corolla is a lot cheaper if you get the LE Hybrid. The Civic's LX is non-hybrid but still cost just as much as the LE hybrid. The LE also offers AWD.
  • @newton2105
Unless price is the most significant factor or you must have an AWD option, I don’t see any reason why someone would take the Corolla over the Civic.
  • @jakes5530
I mean you gotta choose the civic right? Between those two the choice couldnt be clearer.

The Civic is officially in a class of its own. Only way Toyota competes with it. Is to compare the Camry to it. Not a bad idea considering Honda pricing. I am hearing a lot of people getting the Camry under MSRP. Haven't heard that much from Civic and Accord buyers getting discounts. Although better negotiators do.

Toyota Corolla is getting a refresh reveal Q1 2025, and a launch of Q3 2025 (2026 Corolla), we might see improved horsepower and better mpg with new styling

BROS - outstanding report. I like it when you guys do the comparison reviews. I was leaning toward the Civic from the get go & was pleased with the scoring results it totaled per your testing. oh, plus I was wondering what genre/type of music do you guys like to listen to while driving your daily rides. thanks 😀
  • I would only get a Camry or civic hybrid. The Corolla is just way too small and a lot slower.

My 2013 Corolla still drives like it just left the dealership. Even though the Civic looks nicer Im going Corolla. They are just bullet proof.
  • Long live the Civic. Now a Hybrid! Can’t wait to get one!!!

I had an uber pick me up a couple of months ago in a new Toyota Corolla and I could barely sit in the back seat (very bad leg room) and getting out of the back seat was a struggle. I'm 5'6" tall.
