Today I’m going to share some really important information for people with autoimmune or inflammatory disorders.

An autoimmune disorder can occur when your immune system starts attacking healthy cells, and it can lead to a lot of damage and inflammation. Many autoimmune disorders start in the gut.

Your body has protective mechanisms to keep pathogens from invading the gut. But, pathogens may be allowed to pass through the intestinal barrier if you have intestinal permeability, also known as leaky gut. This can lead to someone developing an autoimmune disease.

There is a certain protein called zonulin that regulates intestinal permeability, and it’s typically elevated in autoimmune diseases or inflammatory diseases.

To find the best foods for autoimmune diseases, we need to look for foods that strengthen the intestinal barrier and keep zonulin in check.

The number one thing that helps regulate zonulin is your own microbiome—it's crucial to support your microbiome.

The best foods for autoimmune disorders:
1. Probiotic foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, or a probiotic supplement)
2. Fermented vegetables
3. Foods high in sulforaphane (broccoli sprouts or a sulforaphane supplement)
4. Foods high in glutamine (red cabbage, grass-fed beef, eggs, fish)
5. Foods high in omega-3 fats (cod liver oil, salmon, sardines)

The most important nutrients for autoimmune conditions:
1. Zinc
2. Vitamin D
3. Vitamin A

Things to avoid if you have an autoimmune disorder:
• Antibiotics
• Glyphosate
• Gluten
• Glucose
• Fructose
• Vegetable oils
• Trans fats

  • Because of Dr Berg I eat raw cabbage daily, I drink green tea, I don't eat sweets nor drink them. I am gradually pushing away refined grains and consuming more conciferous greens. He also led me to try intermittent fasting. I am becoming a brand new man at 55. Thank you Dr Berg for all you do for us

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto Thyroiditis in June and they said it would have never reversed because my TSH was sooo high. I prayed over my thyroid and began eating protein (fish like salmon & seabass, eggs, turkey, chicken) and green veggies like zucchini, spinach, broccoli in November. I went back a few weeks ago and it isn't Hashimoto anymore and it's completely reversing. Of course I also saturated it in prayer
  • Your knowledge needs to be taught to all Drs, nutritionists, and to all students in medical school. It should also be taught in ALL HEALTH CLASSES IN OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM!

I have studied few medical and medical fields. I have a deeper knowledge of biochemistry microbiology, medical specialties and physiology. However, physicians have less breadth knowledge especially in nutrition and old traditional medicine, though there is trend to study those. Dr. Berg provides a breath and fresh, easy to understand and educative on many subjects to many people who are disabused by the modern, over specialized practitioners. For that, we owe him a great appreciation. In my opinion his contribution ( and others) should be recognized by the Health department, perhaps even more than that. I know the politics of the medical field resist that, but the. Wellbeing of the people is much more important than exclusivity. Well done Dr. Berg!
  • THANK YOU DOCTOR!!!! I suck up all your leaky gut videos like a bone dry sponge in the desert being dropped in a bucket of water! I know it's going to put me on the right track, as many of your videos did and do in the past! Not only that, but I told my doctor I was going to stop all my prescriptions and I did while following your many leads, and now my blood work looks like it's from a different and healthy person! When people ask me what I did to get this way, I just send them to your home YouTube page. That would do much better than a billion words from me! Thank you again!!! Oh! By the way, one of the prescriptions I stopped taking was a statin! A CT scan showed gallstones I never had before! So I followed the information in the "get rid of gallstones" video and IT WORKED!!! My poop is back to the right color and there are no more gallstones! (I also used your gallbladder helper supplement). I could go on and on all day explaining all the health problems you solved for me! AGAIN! THANK YOU DOCTOR!!!! My doctors were just making more health problems! (I'm going to go eat some sauerkraut for my rheumatoid arthritis. And make a shopping list off this video. That's been the toughest health woe for me)! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Can we appreciate how Dr. Berg keeps looking better and better? If we take a look at videos from just a year ago, you can see the difference his health/diet modifications have made. Inspiration for us to keep improving our lifestyles. I lost 30lbs but still need to reduce sugars because once a week I have a slice of cake and I'd like to eliminate the unnecessary sugars completely. Thanks for the videos, Dr. Berg!
  • I have been suffering with Celiac Disease since birth. I wasn't diagnosed until I was in my 40's. It was a challenge at first to adjust my diet. I was able to get my hands on a book called Wheat Free Worry Free by Danna Korn. It has helped me but eventually I learned that I have to avoid all grains. Thank you Dr. Eric Berg for helping us to understand how to enjoy better health ♥️
  • Your teachings have taught me how to live a healthy life.I now have an acne free face and no longer obese.Thank you

  • When I was pregnant I ate healthy as usual. Didn't over eat and no junk food. She was born with no blood on her and she breathed on her own. She grew up healthy with no cavities and teeth were straight. She graduated college with two majors. She's done well in life 💕🙏
  • I appreciate going above and over to not only provide the information but verifying it against biased reviews, which have taken a hold of many countries, such as the current approach of patenting supplements, example NMN.
  • @waniasiya9099

  • Mindset and self dialogue is everything. If you can truly think and feel positive, feel the healing and remove stress (stress is the root cause of all autoimmune)… Then you will begin to heal.
  • @nancylann4848
