i will never understand how dear evan hansen got more tonys etc. than bandstand... like dear evan hansen is amazing dont get me wrong, and the message is strong, but holy shit bandstand is a masterpiece both musically and acting wise, and the messages about ptsd are so important, and at times overlooked, i cannot express how much i love bandstand and its actors and orchestration and lighting, literally the whole show is a masterpeice.(plus the 2017 tonys also had FALSETTOS? and THE GREAT COMET? so many incredible options with slightly less problematic plotlines. OMG OMG OMG WHO ARE YOU I'M SCREAMING. I swear i've been showing everyone i know that specific moment on "Heart of stone" because i'm not over it. It's so subtle yet so powerful because it speaks to every person that has ever stayed in a relationship that wasn't easy. I feel like Abby chooses to lock eyes on someone there and then and is acknowledging what she (Jane) went through and what the person in the audience (and basically every woman) could've gone through. IDK I personally LOVE that specific moment and i'm so glad you pointed it out. i got too excited sorry. hope u had a nice day. bless your mind- bye
