The few times I have called the cops to report something, they have always come off as if they doubted me and/or questioned me like a suspect. Not "Thanks for calling us". Doesn't send a good message to good citizens.

I believe the reason the police officer was taking down all the license plate and ID info was because there is a chance these guns were involved in crimes. If they are, and there's a legal case brought against someone from the resulting investigation, they may need to ask for the video footage later or even testify to how and where the weapons were found. That's just a guess though.

This is so important if someone throws a gun, especially a hand gun, in the water it almost certainly was used in a serious crime.

I saw some people magnet fishing in the Leeds and Liverpool canal in Armley. They pulled a couple of grenades out and they had to call the bomb squad.

So glad they're finding all these weapons. Imagine if a kid found one, or if the person that put it in the water had committed a crime with said weapon. This is so awesome how they handle everything each time. Much respect

The cops acted pretty decent compared to other videos I've watched like this. They always seem to act like they shouldn't be bothered. I'll never understand that. It's their job!

They should pay guys like you for doing this job!!! Not only are you cleaning up the rivers, but sometimes you are aiding in crimes!!! No body throws a gun in the river unless some kind of crime has been committed. Job well done guys!!! 👍
