Today I'm going on a hike to visit an unusual place - a dugout in the mountains. This old 30-year-old hut has repeatedly saved people's lives from cold and rain, but not so long ago there was a strong fire. I want to see if this old house has survived and, if possible, I will stay in it overnight.

there is a strong wind outside the window and a long road ahead. will you go on a trip with me? write what is the most amazing place where you have been?! For me, this is Dubai
  • Anyone who stays here should leave something, even a can of spam or a liter of water., and always a days worth of wood. These shelters can be lifesavers!

How many others respond with a ‘thumbs up’ back to Alex when he flashes his thumbs up? So enjoy your videos Alex, thank you!!
  • @B-leafer
Very generous of you Alex to do maintenance on that shelter. Nice Civivi knife!

Even though we are a thousand miles away you made me feel right at home my friend
  • Awesome video Alex. Incredible that the dugout was not destroyed by the fire. So nice of you to always make improvements in the places you stay. Wood looked scarce to gather for the fire in the dugout. Your meal as always looked amazing. Take care Alex and look forward to next video!!!!

Your food always looks so yummy and simple. The best way to cook! And I love the music you put on your videos.

Thanks to the Lord, the fire didn’t destroy your dugout; it is a warm and amazing place, even though there is a fierce wind outside; I love your videos, they’re relaxing

When I lived in the far north in Canada, I remember many areas like these - either from fires, clearcutting, or both. Very lonely and surreal. We don't have these types of shelters up there. Very nice of you to bring things for the cabin!
  • Alex there are many utubers who do as you do, although too few of them are a restful and enjoyable as you. Thank you I honestly could watch you all day. The fact that you always contribute something more to wherever you go is testimony to the type of person you really are

When I retired, I drove across the US from Pennsylvania to Oregon, where I now live. The most stunning scenery for me was the mountains crossing Wyoming into Oregon. Absolutely breathtaking! Be care and be safe, Alex.

Никогда не думала, что, Самарская область, так прекрасна и такая огромная. Волга и притоки её украшают
  • Alex doesn't need to constantly talk in his vids, to me that says so much more. The sounds of nature and the moment are more than enough. 👏🏼

I don't remember how I came across your channel, but you make the BEST videos. I'm a GenX woman (aka old) and I'd never watched these types of videos or even knew about this whole hidden dugout in the woods thing. I watched a few others, but I'm not into them. Only yours. They're relaxing and fun to watch. People like me don't need detailed instructional information about what you're doing. Your skill and personality speak for themselves without you actually speaking. You provide subtitles for the important stuff. I frequently laugh. The very dramatic music at the end of this video was hilarious. Can't wait for the next one! :) Big 🌊 from California.
  • Dear Alex. I am saddened to see the destruction of this fine forest but I love your thoughtfulness and dedication. I am wishing you a nice stay in this comfortable cabin. I am from New Zealand.

It dose not matter where in the world you come from or what your background is.. There is just something about stake and potatoes that everyone can agree on.. Looks truly tasty and im happy the shelter survived the fire.. Thank you for sharing and creating this with us..
  • @ronaldraymond461
I liked the way you tidy up the place and make some improvements. You always cook something good at the end of your videos. Thank you Alex
  • @margaretgood580
I'd say this is a miracle that this little cabin was saved from the fires.. I would have to say my biggest experience and fond memories was to travel through 10 beautiful countries through Europe, 5 wonderful weeks, enjoyed this video Alex, stay safe out there 🏕🕊🙏❤
