Do you have a used jigsaw blade?
The blade is only partially worn, and there are still some parts that are not worn.

This is the idea of reusing a worn jigsaw blade.

The position of the blade is very important when trying this jig. If doesn't work, try shifting the blade position slightly.

I've been a carpenter cabinet maker for nearly 3 decades and this is one of the smartest things I've seen respect and love the format of your content thnxs for the great upload will definitely be subscribing thanks again
  • I was luckily enough to have a wonderful grandpa who was happy to teach his granddaughter many things. One was putting grooves up dowels allows the glue to travel the whole length, making a better fix. He also taught mr French polishing but we never got round to his other hobby which was book binding. Unfortunately we lived in different countries and I didn’t get to see him as often as I now wish I had. Miss that man.
  • @bwillan
That is the most ingenious dowel maker I have every seen. Well done.

LOL....I love the WTF? punishment for anyone that just skips to the end.
  • @kurtnelle
No subtitles, text, no voice-over and I understand everything perfectly. That's nice.
  • Never mind the dowel jig, I want your vertical saw jig. Great video.
  • When I started watching I had no idea what the was that was being made. When Koubou-san made the dowel I was astonished by the quality of the result. As always the elegance of the creation and of the presentation was a joy to see.
  • Wie wohltuend, ein Master ohne unendlich viel "Gesülze" um das was er kann! Genialität ohne Geschrei und Worte!!!

I've seen a lot of "dowel-making" videos, but this is one that I think will actually work. BRILLIANT!!!

Love all the Japanese tools, materials, precision ... even the wood looks different. Thanks for sharing this with us! Well done
  • @justinvain377
you've caught me off guard! I never thought it's a dowel maker. well done, as always
  • This man understands youtube, he made the doweler in only a few minutes but added a demonstration to make the video over ten minutes long. Theres really nothing he cant do.
  • @elfpimp1
I'll never get over that sliding circular saw jig. What a great use of space..
  • Ty kindly. Enjoy the straight to the point and no bad music very much also. Simple functional engineering, what's not to love

''Reuse of worn jigsaw blades,'' except the blades were brand new! The thumb screw clamp was useful info, easy to make.
  • @nexus01gr
I guess there's the added bonus of moving the blades to the next sharp tooth, if and when they get eventually dull, depending on the usage, of course.
  • the suspense lasted till the end. you have a no-limit imagination and fingers of gold!
