The Xbox community has been in a panic over the last weekend due to some murky messaging from team Xbox. Players have learned that Xbox Exclusive games have been in talks to come to PlayStation and Nintendo. Apparently the leadership at Microsoft has been in talks about bringing HiFi Rush, Starfield and even Indiana Jones to Rival consoles.

They are doing this because of their hardware numbers . They dropped the series X to 350 and nobody cared . Timdog did an excellent report on this. This is much more than just some rumor . It’s a massive shift for the gaming industry and probably the beginning of the end for a Xbox as a console manufacturer.

I feel like they are pivoting from trying to sell Xbox’s to selling games and eventually game pass on Xbox, pc, Playstation, and switch. Why would that be a bad thing? Now you can play halo with your friends who own PlayStation or whatever game it maybe. Sounds like a win in the long run

I don't feel "betrayed" by games potentially going to other platforms. however I do believe it's a mistake if they do, the short-termism mindset of is always detrimental to the long term, especially considering factors like the resource cost(staff, money & time) to create ports especially if the development teams do not have experience of the rival platforms architecture for only 70% per unit of any potential sales which tbh aren't actually guaranteed to make back said porting costs, it has a high likelihood of backfiring on Msft as users turn their backs reducing income they currently have now, yes that's still hypothetical regardless but you also need to consider just how entitled the average person is these days too, as the demand from rival platforms users will ask for more even if they don't actually buy the games

I own a PS5 and would buy many Xbox games so it’s a win win for me and Microsoft. I hope Sony does the same they have already released exclusives to PC so that’s a start.

Honestly, if more folks get to play these games, then good. Spread the wealth. Console exclusivity sucks. I went full bore on PC this year, gave both my PS5 and my Series X to a friend of mine who's just trying to get by. PC is the future. Honestly, I think consoles are dying. Especially since Sony is putting a lot of their newer single player games on PC.

I feel bad for those who traded in or sold their Xbox's. Actually i dont. I think thats so funny stupid and childish to be feeling that extreme to do that.
  • Yeah, you don't want starfield. It's not worth the money, you are better off buying Fallout 4 with all DLCs and get more out of it. Starfield is a scam for the paying customers. Is ok game, is fun experience, but 10-15 usd is the fair price seeing how much you get with Fallout 4. Starfield should have 100x more content, literally 100x. What they did is the exact same level of content that may appear in one of the older titles but somehow they are supposed to be in space with hundreds of planets. Each livable planet should have 10x the content of fallout 4 and going to 100x for the core planets of the main factions to be fair. The ship builder is crap and limited, the "settlements" are even worse, the weapons/equipment customization is garbage and worse than fallout nv or f4. You don't want starfield at their asking price. After some time passes and they give it for 20 or bellow, you can consider it.

Games are going to become cloud based AI experiences, you were never going to be able to run future games locally. Console hardware is about to become irrelevant.
