I’ve been wood working 45 years. I try to learn something everyday. I learned a couple things! These are great! Thank you! Now, off to the shop! I’m going to start with the right angle jigs. (And hope my wife doesn’t miss the salt shaker!)
  • Dude. I,m in construction 26 years. Nearly every tip you shared I haven’t seen before. Thanks
  • @Farmer3190
The nail tip for the dowel is simple and brilliant. Great job.

My dads a sweet but old fashioned man and worked mostly as a carpenter. He never taught me much carpentry cause I am his daughter but between observing him work and your channel Ive built my own bedframe and desk and now hes more hands-on teaching me since he sees I can build. Thank you and also you could easily get away with doubling the prices of your written instructions they are so useful and Id pay more even theyve helped me so much! Thank you for your tips!

The salt trick is excellent, not only it prevents the pieces from moving it also enchants protection and wards off against ghosts and spirits.

This guy’s a creative genius. No amount of time spent at College or University can teach creativity. Not only that, this guy passes this stuff on for free in easy, well planned and professionally presented videos. I have a 2.1 University Degree in Education here in England. I also do loads of DIY in my workshop. I congratulate you bro, you have a creative God given gift.
  • I actually applauded when I saw the nail-head used to mark the dowel location. Excellent tips. Every one of them.

I'm tripping on how many thumbs down this is getting. I watched it a couple of times. Still feel a thumbs up is in order!

I love your videos. I like that you show the average person how to build things without having to buy $10,000 worth of tools. Your descriptions are clear and concise, with just a hint of humor on occasion. Great job!

Son, I'm an old man and I sure wish I had learned your tips years ago. They are great and for those who are lucky enough to find this video, it will save them an incredible amount of frustration. Thank you, well done.
  • "I like to think about you guys that are just getting started, and you don't have a lot of tools." MY MAN! Appreciate your videos. Smart, creative, to the point.

Glen thanks for the info, it is really appreciated. Moved home to care for an elderly parent and the house repairs that come with that. The way you explain everything means repairs are done with confidence and pride. Instead of the “I hope this works” feeling. A huge help is you know we don’t all have a $20,000 shop. One of my new favorite channels, Thanks again

The salted glue and the nail mark dowel trick are brilliant! Nice work.

I don't believe it. A tips and tricks video on YouTube that actually has some useful tricks.

Great video. I started as an apprentice joiner 60 years ago (in the u.k. age 15) but only did 4 years then change to architecture. Even to this day I enjoy using different ideas to make practical jobs easier. Some of these tips I've never seen and are brilliant in their simplicity. One tip I would pass on is that when using smooth dowels with glue, always make sure to cut a shallow groove along the dowel to allow some glue to escape when the dowel is tapped in.
