Just left the Bahamas stayed in Margaritaville these guys are telling the truth! It’s waaaay to expensive, most places don’t take card (it’s cash only), there’s also a 15% gratuity & 10% VAT tax on everything you purchase, ended up spending $82 for snapper, chicken tenders & fries at Tiki Bar, service was mediocre & they also have a rat problem. I mean Junkano Beach is pretty but besides that I doubt I’ll be back just wasn’t a good experience for me but to each is own.

Just left.. the air b owner had referred us to a driver.. picked us up from the airport , took us grocery shopping and dropped us off for $65 (I thought that was pretty good).. we stayed paradise island near the four seasons... showed us all the places to go so we won't need a driver.. took us to the fish fry... hooked us up with an awesome boat ride with snorkeling... picked us up and took us back to the airport for $40..... I had a freakin GREAT time!!

I am a Bahamian and you're right our taxi drivers embarrass me man. We need to change the way they give service. makes it bad for the decent taxi workers.
  • The management and staff of Tasty Teas wish the extend our most humble apologies to you both. We would like you to know that asking customers for tips is not apart of our compaines policy. This particular Tour Guide took it upon herself to ask customers for tips. Customer Service is our top priority and we would never condone in this type of behavior. This matter has been addressed and delt with! We also wish to thank you for the wonderful video featuring our store!

A prefect example of why I love your videos. You definitely promote most places, but you also give the real details. That way we can be fully informed. You also don't try to pass it off like other videos. I've seen many videos that say all the good things and then toss in a con but in a positive way. Just to bad you guys went to the Bahamas and not Barbados, there's not a lot of video on Barbados...
  • Hey guys nice video, but brother please don't interrupt your lady like yet. You could've done it in a much better way. Just saying...
  • @debranobles
Love your honesty! Thank you for helping us to know what to expect.

Great straight up video which I appreciate! it definitely made us re think our stay. With it being more expensive for food, we are now looking at the all inclusives. Thank you both for your information 🙂

Y’all are awesome. Thank you for this. I’m here now with my family and wish we would seen this BEFORE we arrived. Thank you for this.
  • Some very important info to know ahead to be prepared and not end up disappointed.
  • @hbrooke33

Good video guys. I love how you guys go into detail. Downtown is definetly rough for pedestrians ironically. Most of the locals dint even go down there unless they work down there. Its a 300 year old city and there are property rights issues to make it more pedestrian friendly. Most of the newer parts of the island have better infrastructure though. Yes, taxi drivers in Nassau do make alot of money. I knew one that made 60k annually. Not that popular of a job though. The service in the Bahamas has always been relatively slow but the pandemic rules have made it worst🙄. That being said I love living here😁.
  • 1. The prices are high because we are built on tourism so that’s how we make our money. 2. We are a small island and many other tourists are trying to try the same things as you so it’s not gonna be as fast as the USA, you guys probably have more staff or more technology or better systems because y’all are bigger. 3. There are many venders trying to make a profit which is not an excuse to be aggressive but they are also trying to make a living. Not all may want u just for their store they could be helping or being nice. 4. There are many taxis because there are many tourists. But there are many taxis in New York so what’s the difference? It’s an income what may be cheap in America won’t be cheap over here so if you don’t like the prices rent out a car or just walk. 5. The island is very small so u can’t expect the same thing from wherever you live and I highly doubt that there are more drunk drivers in the Bahamas than the USA.
  • Excellent video!! We have been to the out islands and now I can see why. We were thinking of a quick trip to Nassau but not now. We'll wait until we can go back to the out islands. Thank you!

Thank you so much for giving me this information. I have a standby ticket to fly anywhere the airline goes. I'm scheduled to leave in 5 hours for the Bahamas. After watching this video, I've decided to cancel my flight and find somewhere else to go that doesn't sound so stressful.
  • I’m literally sitting in the same spot watching this. Coral tower by sun and ice. Such a pretty place! Great content as well and very accurate.
  • Thank you! I’m loving your vids. Just found them! We are going to be there in 10 days for a day- 7am-2:30 which is quick’
  • This is helpful thanks. So tried of tourists getting taken advantage of in these tourist trap spots like Mexico and some of recent cruise ports visits.
  • I was just in Freeport two weeks ago March 2023. While it was pretty expensive. I found the taxi drivers to be very nice. The people are great! AhhHah the woman who drove us to the airport the day we left was a beautiful soul. 70 year old woman with lots of love in her heart. But at one point she pulled off a 5-6 car pass on the road with oncoming traffic. Hahah my wife was digging her nails into my leg. Bahamas is definitely beautiful and we will be back.
