Best review I've seen yet. Very thorough. It is very hard to find a quality, thorough review of rifle scopes. The tracking teat was the highlight for me. I just purchased an Arken scope and will do this myself.

just the fact that this video comparison between the arken ep5 and the nightforce atacr exists makes the arken ep5 the winner for me, as it is able to reach in comparatives a sight of more than 4 times its price.
  • @jacobharrod6912
This comparison and review is the standard! Awesome job man. Ive been looking at a lot of different reviews for the Arken just to see what its all about. This has been the best and most comprehensive review, and I really like that you compared it to a higher end optic so we can really see how it stacks up.
  • Love my Arken. Bought it after the Gary’s review and it hasn’t disappointed. Doesn’t get any better for the price
  • Exceptional review and comparison. For my use, the Arken will be great. It won't be on the nightstand, but it will be in the corner... Absolutely spectacular to know I won't be throwing money away, because nornally if it's too good to be true, it is. I Thanks for putting forth the effort.

This video helped me out a lot thank you for the detail you went into. Not a lot of people out here doing like this. You saved me some serious cash. I really wanted a NF and after watching this review it was a no brainer. I’m not going to tell that much of a difference myself for what I’m doing.
  • @bunberrier
New to range shooting here. This is the first review where I actually see what it looks like looking in the scope, and helped me decide. Thanks. Ill get the Arken and if I ever develop enough skill where it becomes a limitation I can upgrade then.
  • Modern ‘budget’ optics are the tier one optics of 10yrs ago and I AM HERE FOR IT. I have a primary arms GLX that tracks like The Predator and was wildly inexpensive.
  • @98red300
Incredible Video!!! Thank you for taking the time to compare the 2 scopes.
  • @SavageShooter93
I can tell a slight difference between the Nightforce and the Arken, the color saturation on the Arken is a little bit more noticable the black/grey is slightly blue shifted but the comparison is mindblowing considering the cost difference. I just bought an Arken EP5 because of this.
  • @anymanusa
Thanks a bunch for doing this. I've watched these videos 3 or 4 times and I've ended up buying an epl4, ep5, sh4 and lh4.
  • I have both. The Arken is phenomenal for the price. Shooting low light, you can see where the NF is better. And I love the durability of NF. Used NF almost my entire career. Is it worth the money, that is personal preference....
  • @Sanwizard1
Love this comparison. Great job. I liked and subscribed.
  • @clintmurray208
Great test's thanks for your time and putting a good review together for the armature people like myself who don't know all that tech stuff about the scopes I definitely have a better understanding of what to look for now .
  • @KingLoopie1
Even with the shaky setup both scopes are impressive! You might try a removable lens camera with the sensor positioned in the eye box instead of an additional lens. To do that you'll need another setup for that camera behind the scope with x, y, z and both up/down and side to side tilt to get the alignment perfectly aligned on the optical axis while still maintaining square with respect to the sensor plane to image plane relationship. BUT, what I saw here was truly impressive for the cost of the arken... Especially after the 10 ft drop! 👍 (I have the same model arken but no NF)
  • It is remarkable how good these budget scopes are getting. The turrets are becoming just as good on budget optics as on high end optics. Now if they can figure out how to bring the cost of top end glass down… that would be ridonkulous!!! For a soldier or a tac ops professional I can see that the night force durability is critically important… but for a casual civilian sporting rifle… who cares?… buy 3 EP5 scopes and have 2 spares and still save $1,700
  • @shirolee
Thank you so much for making this video!
  • @mtnhunter5578
Ran NF as a contractor and the durability and tracking were always spot on between all the rigs, they will always be my gold standard. Arken to me is " training wheels ", glass is good enough, it allows you to learn the basics of dialing, using a christmas tree reticle, how to properly MIL targets, leads ect without having to max out the credit card. Once you have a solid proficiency of the basics and can appreciate the advantages of top tier glass you can make a much more informed decision on what you want to upgrade too.

Very informative video! I enjoy your video content. I’m going with Arken EP-5 25x56. I have the 4-16x50 and it’s an awesome scope. I’ll also be checking into attending your long range course next year!
