Published 2011-08-30
Just an experiment to see what different music does to a video. And to cut out the dull stuff from the original

@CSATexan My brother bought a solar charger for his cell phone last year, and liked it. Not sure the brand right off hand. I was looking at getting one, but for now I just take spare fully charged batteries for each camera, and that usually does the trick. Wish our weather here was good enough for paddling now. You have a much better climate for year round.

@CSATexan Our usual overnight trips are to PEI. And living in Nova Scotia, and right on the Bay of Fundy, there are boundless other areas for sea kayaking. I have only been to Texas once and that was coming in off the gulf from a crane vessel in a helicopter to Galviston, and then to Houston airport. Someday when time permits I would like to venture farther to go kayaking.

@CSATexan My brother had a Go Pro a few years ago, and was not pleased with it. I think they have improved since then. I use a Kodak Playsport as well, and a Olympus Tough. The playsport I find takes great video, and the Olympus takes great photos and is tough as whale bone. My Olympus is pre high def, so I image the new ones take great videos as well. Back to my wall.

@CSATexan Only gators here are our ball hockey team. Great Village Gators. Other than that nothing at all that can eat you. Closest thing was a great white that was caught in the bay, but that only happens about once every 15 years. Or maybe a salmon with a bad attitude.

@CSATexan You definitely should. I just highly recommend the summer Ha ha. I guess the winter is possible, but it can be frigid. It is very popular here, more-so lately. Seems in the summer every third car you see has a kayak on its roof, and that doesn't include those who have inflatables who don't have to put them on a roof. It is my understanding that kayaks were invented in Canada by the Inuit.

@CSATexan I have used mine underwater, but never deeper than what my hand could reach over the side of the kayak. I have a few videos from underwater, but I think I may have been taken with the Olympus. Been a while, and I forget. I almost forgot, I also have a Sanyo Xacti E2 W underwater camera, but it has a issue with water drops on the lens showing up badly. Takes nice photos if you can keep the lens clear.

@CSATexan Now I know why I was avoiding doing this wall job. Miserable. But has to be done. Later
