Nashville Guitar Show 2024: Guitar Lover's Dream

Published 2024-03-29
We're back for the Nashville Guitar Show 2024! It's Nashville so of course there were some awesome examples of Gibson Les Pauls, Gibson acoustic guitars, a ton of vintage guitars, some choice Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters, along with a bunch of other really cool guitars. You already know there were also some crazy guitar effects pedals there too.

Always a good time here seeing old friends and making new ones.
What was your favorite guitar from this show??

I saw that yellow black guard tele that belong to the guy who played with John Anderson played live at Renfro Valley Kentucky in the late 90s. It was the first yellow guitar id seen as a kid. It sounded awesome live. John Anderson put on a good show and he plays the fire outta a Banjo too.

Guitar shows are few and far between on the West Coast. Glad to see its more alive in the southland.

The 58 Les Paul Custom did it for me.

Iโ€™ve been to countless guitar shows and gun shows, and while I love the way youโ€™re open to people picking up and playing your gear, how do you not constantly worry that divine is going to steal something? It make me anxious just watching you videos. Crazy. Oh wait, now youโ€™re leaving the hall for the evening. Who the hell do you trust with guarding all that gear over night??? Definitely not for me.

Guitar shows are fun to go to and you can see a lot of guitars at one place and possible find "the one" you have been looking for! But, unless you really need cash now, don't sell your guitar to a "dealer", especially at "guitar shows", you will not get a "reasonable" price! "Dealers" are (of course) in the business to make money as well as the love of guitars! At a recent guitar show, a dealer I won't name ( but was at this show) said he could only give me half of the "going rate" for a 1993 Fender "wxyz" in VG condition, which really opened up my eyes! And, as Alex states @18:16 you can get a better price selling your guitars locally!!! Network with friends and at "jam nights" and sell to an individual for your best chance of getting a "reasonable price" for your guitar!!! Oh yeah, love your videos Alex! My favorite was the 1963 (Les Paul) SG Jr. and the refinished "white" one! PS: I guess I will be "blocked" now! ๐Ÿ˜
