This is definitely a good sign for 3rd party support on the Nintendo Switch 2 👀

I wish that Nintendo would let Monolith Soft help out with Pokemon like they did with Legend of Zelda. Imagine how good that Pokemon game would be.

My questions is; what game will have a Skyrim moment like on the original Switch reveal trailer? My guess is either Elden Ring or Baldur's Gate 3; that game that you're surprised to see running on a tablet-sized device

If you look at the work that has been done on Hogwarts Legacy's port for the nintendo Switch, the optimization and how it runs on such a weak system shows impressive mastery of knowledge of the hardware limitations. They probably know the potential better then anyone else.

I like the non acquisition and instead entangle with each other way much more. Businesses buying businesses is destroying everything.

Monolith Soft was their last dev studio acquisition, no? (it was exactly 9000 days ago, by the way)
  • Been watching your videos for years! Always appreciate your coverage and your insight! I definitely think this could be a pivotal move for Nintendo and I think it will have a positive impact on not just 3rd party games but also 1st party games!
  • Nintendo usually only gets someone if they feel they can greatly benefit from it so I expect this investment to pay off

I hope that there's less cloud version of games from a result of this acquisition

Okay this is Awesome! Nintendo acquiring Shiver Entertainment is gonna be a big game change for Third Party Game Ports. This is gonna be awesome. It seems like they want to put effort into the ports on Switch 2. That's gonna be awesome.
  • Pretty cool yeah and another note for the upcoming Nintendo sequel intense switch to that I might get possibly next year either for my birthday or Christmas as I gotta let my mother know everything about it because she knows already has what I got for my last birthday back in 2018 and now I have to wait a while because it could be pretty pricey like I wouldn’t be surprised if it costed like 4005500 dollar USD as that is a lot of money even for the mid 2020s so yeah I’m gonna have to save up a lot for the family just to even get this so that way I can transfer it, once the console officially launches to the public.

I think this is bad news, honestly. It gives me the impression Nintendo might be planning for the switch 2 to compete by hosting third party games as opposed to exclusives, which is what's kept them interesting so far.
