🇫🇷 C’est en 1991, à Oakland (Californie) que @machinehead voit le jour. Autour de Rob Flynn se forme ainsi une formation de groove et de thrash metal qui figure aujourd’hui comme l’un des poids lourds du genre. Il faut dire que le groupe a bénéficié d’un sacré coup de pouce en assurant entre 2008 et 2011 les premières parties de la tournée mondiale de Metallica.
Machine Head fait son entrée dans les bacs en 1994 avec le très furax Burn My Eyes. Un premier album pétaradant et devenu un classique du genre ! À l’autre bout de leur discographie se trouve Of Kingdom and Crown, un neuvième album paru en 2022.
Les participations de Machine Head à des festivals sont rares ! Heureusement pour nous et le public clissonnais, les Américains ont décidé de faire un stop au Hellfest. On ne boude donc pas notre plaisir et rejoignons les milliers de fans agglutinés devant la Mainstage du festival !

🇩🇪 Die Groove- und Thrash-Metal-Band Machine Head wurde 1991 in Oakland (Kalifornien) um Leadsänger Rob Flynn gegründet und zählt heute zu den ganz großen Namen des Genres. Zugegeben: Dass sie zwischen 2008 und 2010 als Supporting Act bei der Welttournee von Metallica auftraten, verschaffte den Jungs einen nicht unerheblichen Karriereboost.
1994 schufen Machine Head mit dem furiosen Debütalbum „Burn My Eyes“ auf Anhieb einen Magekracher, der zu einem Klassiker des Genres werden sollte. Den vorläufigen Abschluss ihrer Diskografie bildet ihr neuntes Album „Of Kingdom and Crown“, das 2022 erschien.
Machine Head sind ausgesprochen selten auf Festivals zu sehen. Zum Glück für alle ARTE-Zuschauer und das Publikum in Clisson haben sich die US-Amerikaner für einen Abstecher zum diesjährigen Hellfest entschieden. Man soll die Feste feiern, wie sie fallen, und wenn Tausende von Fans sich vor der Mainstage des Festivals drängen, hat das gewiss seinen Grund …

Machine Head consistently put on one of the best live performances of any band in metal. I've been seeing them for over 15 years now and they've never slowed down.

Probably my best moment at HF this year. At Hellfest you can measure the popularity of a band by the number of t-shirts that you see during the day. On the day of the show, I crossed maybe 3 MH t-shirts (including mine). In the following days, I crossed several 100s - bought from the official merch booth.

My god, what a performance from a too often underrated band. Robb is such a hell of a frontman. The energy is absolutely crazy

A few years back, machine head were nearly done. Now they are playing on the biggest stages and enjoying a resurgence that so very much deserve.

Honestly, they picked the best possible headliner this year besides Gojira. Rob's screams are the best I've heard to date and everything sounds perfect.

During this Hellfest 24, Machine Head proved to be so much smarter than Metallica when it comes to actually interact with a crowd and deliver + share a truly lasting performance. Exactly how a headliner should act in such context. It was incredible. By far the best headliner performance this year (big shout out to the Offspring and Foo Fighters though)

Didn't expect Robb to ever sound like this again. There was a time he wasn't able to hit a single tone, and now listen to him. It's like he re-focused and finally has fun on stage again 🤟

Le groupe (avec Gojira) que je suis allé voir le plus en concert, et jamais déçu de la prestation. Et vu le show offert ce soir, je regrette de ne pas avoir été présent au Hellfest, mais un grand, que dis-je, un immense merci à Arte pour diffuser en direct le Hellfest (et de nombreux autres concerts de tous styles!)

Machine Head était en feu hier soir. Tres grosse perf. Il manquait bien un ou deux titres mais on peut pas tout avoir. Faut sortir ca officiellement ! Thanks guys !

No sé cómo daros las gracias "Arte Concert" y todo el equipo que hace posible estás retransmisiones,no sabéis lo feliz que nos hacéis,personalmente desde 2018 no he podido asistir a ningún evento,no sé si desde el 2019 estabais ya retransmitiendo,pero he visto muchos grupos desde que os conozco.Nos acercáis todo lo posible a los que no podemos ir y quería daros mi más sincera enhorabuena e infinitas gracias,a todos los que hacen posible que nos llegue un trozo grande del festival.Os quiero❤🎉
