All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift from her late mother. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy and featuring a special performance by Misty Copeland, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale. In theaters on Nov. 2, 2018.

Beautifully done trailer. So many different colors. It's just amazing to see how much CGI, camera and audio quality, and technology overall has advanced over the years. We're living in a golden age for beautiful-looking movies.

The music is really awesome, but the trailer really doesn't impress me at all. It feels like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland but with different characters, a different setting and a slightly different story. Throw some Narnia in the mix at well and you got this! But, of course, the people who enjoyed Alice would surely enjoy this as well.

I don't care what the critics say, I saw this film 3 years ago with my sister together it was released in November 2018. Still I watch it as part my Holiday films & tv specials list. I believe it is a good film for Christmas. 🎄

Who replays this trailer over and over because the music is so good? lol. I remember watching Barbie in the Nutcracker when I was little and I thought it was so good. I have a feeling this one is just as good, maybe even better.
