Eastwood said this movie was the reason he started his own production company. The production costs spiraled and the movie execs interfered which meant there were 4 different versions of the movie. He said the directors version was by far the best.

I just heard this song for the first time today. It was misplaced in a mix of Christmas music, but still a strangely alluring song. I'm happy about this random find!
