LYRICS:
Dry bones rattle in a lonely soul
Slipped and fell into a deep black hole
I can tell you're lost, I'm here for you
Wildfires burning you down to stone
Blind eyes, turning from a world so cold
A million miles apart, within my reach
It's not like me to worry
But when I see you fading in the dark
I'll leave a light on for you
Through the long nights, I will be right
There for you if you drift too far
I'll leave a light on for you, you, you
Rain comes following an endless drought
To wash away the remnants of all your doubt
I hope that you'll see me looking out
It's not like me to worry
But when I see you fading in the dark
I'll leave a light on for you
Through the long nights, I will be right
There for you if you drift too far
I'll leave a light on for you
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Through the long nights, I will be right
There for you if you drift too far
I'll leave a light on for you, you, you

I wish Chester was alive to hear this one... Thank you Papa Roach for this magnificent song 💗
  • Two weeks ago, I was driving up north to unalive myself & heard "Leave a Light On" on the radio for the 1st time. I started sobbing & I'm a grown ass man. I pulled my truck over, found the Youtube video on my phone, and watched it on repeat until dawn the next day. It was the sign 🕊🕊 I needed... at the right time & in the right place. I turned my truck around, after thanking God for interceding with this song, went home, woke up my 2 daughters and hugged them for an hour... crying & hugging them. My youngest asked me, "What's wrong, Daddy?" Me: "Oh, this nice man named Jacoby helped your daddy out last night by leaving his light on for me." THANK YOU, JACOBY & PAPA ROACH!! 🙏😢❤

My little brother Nathan lost his battle with depression and took his life nearly 16 years ago. This song resonates deep with me. I tell each of my kids multiple times a day that I love them & would rather listen to their sorrows for days than attend another funeral. They all know that this is my favorite song. I will scream from the treetops YOU BELONG HERE! I hope each and every one of you know that you are deeply loved. I love you all and am here to listen. I know I’m a stranger, but we are all in the metal family. I’ve got your back!
  • I've struggled with suicidal thoughts for most of my life. My faith in God and my support group are the only reason I'm still here. There's no shame in reaching out for help it doesn't make you weak. It takes true strength to pick up the phone and ask for help. This song will help so many people who are suffering in silence. I love Papa Roach!
  • This went from being the collaboration I didn’t know I needed to the collaboration I can no longer do without. Unreal.

My father passed away 2yrs ago, I've wanted to leave this earth 12yrs ago, he told me that the weak take the easy way out, I give 110 percent everyday! I'll make you proud dad!
  • My hubby took his life a year ago now. We have a 5 year old boy who loved his daddy. He was my soulmate and best friend. and this song just hits home. Makes me soo sad I wish I could have saved him. I miss him soo much. 😢 we need to spread mental health awareness more. We grew up listening to papa roach being 85 baby and I love Carrie underwood this was an amazing duet. I love you Robert Michael. R.I.P. my love 🙏🏼❤
  • The softer side of Carrie's voice helps to emulated the sadness that is the joy of this song. Great rendition. Beautiful.
  • This is an incredible crossover for hard rock and country. My goodness.
  • @sasklion
I swear Carrie Underwood can sing the ingredients off a soup can. Overflowing with talent!
  • Over a decade ago my cousin attempted to take his life. He survived, if you could call it that. Lengthy hospital stay, full face transplant. He still struggles to this day. Three years ago last month my brother took his life. Two weeks after my brother one of my best friends took his life. Then last April it was my son's turn. I managed to intervene, drove two hours to where he had driven to, and rescued him. I have been suicidal for a good majority of my life. If it weren't for my 5 children, if it weren't for the absolute miracle of getting pregnant at 19 because doing so saved my life, I wouldn't be here. The amount of trauma I deal with surrounding this subject is immense. Layers upon layers. Thank you for putting a spotlight on this subject. I listen to this song and Chester's (One More Light)when I need a moment to just sit in that trauma, briefly, and then quickly move out of it so that it doesn't consume my every waking moment.
  • Not only is this song beautiful, but so is everyone here. You are loved and worth being here. Don't fight your fight alone. People do care about you and your story. Tell it. No matter how dark it is. There is a light in for you.
  • @hirahey
My brother drank himself to death. He was 28. I am now older than my older bubba. He passed away from a broken heart. Life is unkind, and I couldn't relieve his pain, so now he's free from it all.. 🌹

One week ago i almost took my own life. I sat and prayed that someone would stop me. A random stranger sat and talked to me in the pouring rain and told me she liked me even though she didn't know me. It meant so much to me. Listen, no matter what someone loves you. I love you You are strong. In case nobody told you today, you're beautiful, i love you and im proud of you . I hope this message reaches the person who needs this most. You're never alone 💌💌💌
  • They say to never let yourself become emotionless. So, what I can say is that this song will pull out every emotion you thought you could not feel and feel Loved. Wanted and Needed in this Life we Live! Leave A Light On will always have my heart forever and ever!
  • @je3985
Carrie is exactly what this song needed. I LOVE Papa Roach top 5 bands for sure but Carrie on it makes it ten times better.
  • Not many people know the darkness that others face. Those of us who face our own darkness and come out on top need to always leave a light on to help others. Papa Roach has been that light in mine throughout the years with numerous songs that help through these times. My light is always on for those in need

The fact that suicide is even an issue is devastating. Mental health should be put first and foremost. Don't ever make anyone feel any other kind of way than loved. We only have one life to live. Spread happiness and not hate. Learn to identify someone who is suffering. Just because someone smiles doesn't mean they are happy. And NEVER make someone feel ashamed for the way they feel. You never know what someone else has gone or is going through. Much love ❤️

Truly amazing song. THIS IS AWESOME! I love Jacoby's voice
