What are your thoughts on Chip Kelly leaving UCLA?
  • The Ohio State game at Oregon, Oct. 12th will be EPIC !! Both OSU and Oregon have done very well so far in the off season and Chip used to be the head coach at Oregon. Can't wait.
  • @Montzter57
I excited to see what chip can do with all that talent on offense. You can’t say he didn’t have a pretty darn successful HC’ing career and without the other headaches I’m hoping he can create a monster of an offense.

This is a monster hire for OSU, contrary to what many people are arguing… Ole Chipper is a master at personnel groupings and shifts and motions out of a power spread offense (similar to what Urban did). He’s unquestionably going to rely on the run game to include running the QB (to keep defenses honest), while stretching the field both horizontally and vertically. Expect a lethal OSU offense next year.

This is a great hire for tOSU. Chip Kelly literally changed the way the game of football is played. That cannot be said about many coaches. Too bad my Ducks are going to have to shatter your dreams, when you come to Eugene in October.
  • @Gustarx
Had no idea Day was player of the year in New Hampshire, played under Chip Kelly at the Uni of New Hampshire, and then coached under him there too. wild af
  • @ohiostatebuck33
Biggest question for OSU at this point is the O-line. All that talent is great, but not so great if those guys can't block.
  • I really like this hire. Chip will take the helm in Ryan Days offense, which is an offense that he learned under Chip Kelly. Any changes he makes will probably improve the offense without throwing out what already works.
  • @dchall8052
Perfect fit for both chip and OSU. Chip gets a chance to be an OC at an elite university without any of the pressure of managing donors, recruiting, and all the other BS that comes from being a HC, and OSU gets an incredibly creative OC to be the play caller of the most talent rich offense in the country
  • In 2022 UCLA led the nation in rushing, produced over 500 yards total offense/game and was 8th in scoring at 40 points/game. The combination of Chip Kelly's rush attack with Ryan Day's passing concepts is going to be a difficult challenge for any defense to stop.

Ohio State is like 50% of off-season cfb coverage.

Coach Day with so many insane moves, coaching staff pickups, and spending tens of millions of NIL dollars, we are not just looking to defeat Michigan. We are looking to win next year’s Superbowl! Go Buckeyes! 😃👍
  • I think chip Kelly may have found his calling as an OC. He’s proven that he doesn’t really enjoy the responsibilities of being a HC, and his record on the field shows it. He’s a smart football mind, but he simply can’t attract the top tier talent needed to compete at the highest level.
  • @gatorade2366
I don’t blame him, he will make more money. California takes so much of your pay in taxes. When you are making a large amount, it’s crazy what they take in taxes.
  • @dannewth7149
Chip Kelly is the final touch for OSU championship. And I'm a ducks fan.😢
  • @dragonboy141
College teams have to hire GMs, a huge scouting staff and NIL money people to completely handle the money and the portal and high school recruiting. Gotta let coaches actually get to coach or all the good ones will leave. No reason to stay in college otherwise.
