  • I've ridden the heck out of the entire H-D touring line-up and owned just about all of them. After riding several thousands of miles on a Challenger (including just completing 10,000 miles in 14 days), I have to say it's the best motorcycle I've ever ridden. BWT, mine and the two other Challengers with me had no issues! These bikes are rock solid! Thanks Tall for a great review!
  • I’m a Chieftain Darkhorse rider stationed in Georgia. A legacy Indian owner. I’ve enjoyed your unbiased opinions, tips and reviews. Much respect to you and I wish all of your viewers clear sky and open roads
  • @OZARKSHDRIDERS
Tall that was the best review of these two bikes that I've seen Brother, truthful and honest, Big RESPECT from Missouri brother 💯👍🏼

I was a long time Harley and Triumph rider. I totaled my Road Glide Ultra a couple years ago, test rode the 18 HD and the Indian Roadmaster. There was no comparison, the ride, handling, comfort, std features sold me. I haven't regretted it on bit.
  • In my opinion being a 1 year old Road Glide rider. The Road Glide was my first bike. The Harley is on one end of the spectrum being the last of the hotrod world. The goldwing is at the opposite end like a Lexus. In between these two is the Indian. A lexus with a hotrod look.
  • I have a 2016 VIC XC I bought in '17. I have 24,800 miles on it and love it . When the days comes, I will get a Challenger unlimited . THanks for the Great Commentary on the 2 bikes~
  • Yep, that’s what decided it for me-local dealers, and the solid Harley culture. Now, my next bike,,,,,, I might take another look at that Indian. I think it’s a fine motorcycle.

Thanks for the good honest review. I'm a Harley guy but I wouldn't be opposed to owning an Indian.

Just bought a 2020 Indian Challenger Darkhorse, LOVE IT! You're right on everything you said too, and that's the stuff that made me want this bike the best out of the box bike off the showroom floor. In a few years there will be plenty of upgrades especially in the speed dept as Indian will be getting help from S&S as well as Lloyds. Oh and I'm in Port Huron, Michigan.

Im a fan of your channel. Im a 6'6 black man and the knowledge you have provided on your channel has been helping me with the purchase of a new motorcycle here within a couple month. Thank you for representing.
  • @CountryBoyMoto
I bought the Challenger dark horse and did a stage one upgrade with a set of 14 inch KST bars. I love it.
  • @OutbackOutlaw
I love my Indian but since I was a kid I always wanted a softail, if it was not for the terrible service from the HD dealer I would be riding a HD today. To me a motorcycle is a motorcycle they have different personalities...just depends what personality you like. If I could I would own a number of different bikes for when I feel like doing something different. Great review man. 👍🏾💯🇦🇺

Tall, you made the best case for both American brands. The Challenger is a new bike and experiencing some issues you would expect of a new model. Not that the Milwaukee 8 has been trouble free either. In the end, for the price, you are going to get the bike that speaks to you.
  • @roadglide1142
I just picked up a 2020 Roadglide Special . I looked at the Challenger but the Roadglide spoke to me way more with its incredible build & paint 🎨 quality ! Case closed for me! Laconia H-D installed a stage 1 with Rinehart 4.5 s ! It sounds amazing 😉! I couldn’t care less if the challenger is 1/2 a second quicker ! That’s what Stage 4 is for ! 😂
  • @bansterref
Coming from a Hayabusa I want to get a Indian bike now. Thank you for the reviews. I'm writing this in 2022 and I am in El Paso TX.
  • Great video TT. I currently own 3 Harley's. In this case the Challenger wins. Bang for buck. More included off the showroom floor. The biggest thing for me is the improved suspension. Harley really needs to upgrade their frame and suspension on the touring models. They did a fantastic job with the softails. Take care. Stay well. Have a blessed day.
  • i had a new 2017 chieftain ,great looking old school ,but too many electronic issues and i went back to harley ,reason was that dealerships are far and few between ....thankyou for your review tall .... stay safe and well and your family to !!!
  • @rusnsc7622
Appreciate the honest review and comparison. My brother just left HD for an Indian. Were I to get one think it’d be the Chieftan as a second bike. Prefer that old school look in the Indian lineup. That ain’t happening so.....Will ride my personalized paid for 2011 FLHTK til I can’t. Keep up the good work. Be blessed.
  • @SpudsMcHaggis
I have ridden a 2020 RG and the Challenger both in stock form and for me, the Challenger wins hands down. It is just a more complete package straight out of the box for less money then the HD. Also being from Australia we don't have to worry about all this dealership nonsense that you guys in the USA have. Any motorcycle mechanic can work on any bike down here so that doesn't factor in when picking what brand of motorcycle one rides. I am pretty sure if you guys didn't have to rely on a "dealership network" then things maybe different. Anyway nice review Tall. Enjoyed it a lot. Cheers
