It was Ohtani's wife's idea to invite someone like this kid instead of herself throwing the first pitch. So beautiful moments created by the people with beautiful hearts.

According to Japanese media, it's Dodger's tradition to let a family member throw the first pitch on the player's bobblehead night but Shohei and Mamiko discussed it and preferred that the opportunity be given to a kid who loves baseball but doesn't have much of an opportunity to watch the game live like Albert. Kudos to the Ohtanis for thinking bigger.❤

Ohtani is a great ambassador for the game. He is an elite athlete yet remains humble and down-to-earth. You can see the joy when he’s on the field. And people like that genuineness.

It's crazy how much Ohtani has brought to LA already

Albert's happy face is priceless!!😃 Shohei's smile is priceless too!! Shohei loves loving kids, and as he said, he wants every kid to have a dream, like he did when he was still small.

Is anybody gonna talk about how Shohei scooped the pitch and framed it? This guy could probably be starting catcher if he wanted to
  • Shohei Ohtani is the GOAT. Not only is he arguably the greatest player of all time, but he's the most humble, and most giving and caring player to add to is. He's never acted or believed he's above the game, or deserved anything more, he just works hard and always gives back. He's the Greatest Of All Time, hands down, no second thoughts. The guy is a role model everyone should look up to.

It was the Shohey's bobblehead night. Usually, the player's family throws the first pitch, thus Shohey's wife was scheduled to throw. But, Shohey and his wife decided to give up the opportunity for the kid. It's super nice kindness, but no surprise as the way of the Ohtani family.

Shohei is the greatest baseball player of all time, both on and off the field.

Wishing Albert and his family all the best and a long, full life for Albert. Shohei Ohtani once again showing us why he's more than just a great ball player, he's a great person.

No matter what difficulties may befall him in the future, this boy will survive. I salute Mr. Otani and all those involved for their efforts.

The strong heart that endured meeting the world's greatest superstar and making the first pitch in front of 50,000 people will be ready for anything in the future.

Some people may say this is a way to gain goodwill, while others may say it's unfair. But one thing is certain: a great player gave this boy and his family an experience they will never forget. It cannot be changed into anything.
  • Is no one going to mention how impressive that catch was by Ohtani?
