Shiloh (/ˈʃaɪloʊ/; Hebrew: שִׁלֹה, שִׁלוֹ ,שִׁילֹה, and שִׁילוֹ, variably, Šīlō) was an ancient city and sanctuary in Samaria. According to the Hebrew Bible, Shiloh was the central sanctuary of the Israelites during the pre-monarchic period, before the First Temple in Jerusalem was built. After the Israelite conquest of Canaan, the Tabernacle was moved to Shiloh, and remained there during the period of the biblical judges.

Shiloh has been positively identified with modern Khirbet Seilun, a tell known in Modern Hebrew as Tel Shiloh. It is located 31 km north of Jerusalem, in the West Bank, to the west of the modern Israeli settlement town of Shilo and to the north of the Palestinian town of Turmus Ayya. Relative to other archaeological sites, it is south of the biblical town of Lebonah and 16 kilometres (10 mi) north of Bethel

  • I have never been to Israel, but that is one of my dreams. This was an incredible journey around Shiloh seeing where the tabernacle could have been and where the Ark of Covenant could be. You did a fantastic clear video, of the walls, the vineyards and the surrounding gardens for produce. I am amazed at how much walking you did for this video. Thanks so much and may The Lord Jesus be with you and bless you always.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have always wanted to visit Isreal but I can't afford it plus I am disabled and would never make it, so I feel like I'm walking right beside you on this tour. Thank you so much for doing these videos I really appreciate and enjoy all of them.

Thank you for this wonderful tour. I just wish we would stop calling the people "settlers". They are returning to their ancient homeland, thank God!
  • @maryrose3818
Wonderful tour! I am just struck by the fact those stones and the wall are just so ancient and still there! I know I will not have the opportunity to visit, and so grateful to you for showing us Shiloh!

I love this so much. I love the hills. I would love to hear the stories they could tell. A trip to the Holy Land without having to pack. Thank you.

I think this is where the Ark was before it was finally taken to Jerusalem, or City of David, and then the Temple built by King Solomon. Or, that's what I've read in my research. Thank u for showing us this video. I've read that Hannah took Samuel to the Temple after he was weaned. What a wonderful gift given to her by God, and what a wonderful gift returned to God by Hannah ❤️
  • Very sacred ground you are walking on Sir, thanks so much for showing us this Ancient Biblical Sites.

Thank you so much. This was a beautiful and informative video. I probably will never be able to see Israel in person so watching your videos that are done from an ordinary perspective (i.e. NOT like an organized tour) is very refreshing. So, get yourself a really good pair of walking shoes and keep them coming!

You always give the best history lessons, stories and views. I love your animated videos, of course, but I hope you can make more of these tour videos. Great work! Thank you again so much.💙🤍

I am so happy to see this video because I was just reading Jeremiah 7, where it says, "12 But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.13 And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the Lord, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim." So the LORD tells Jeremiah to tell the people to go see Shiloh, to see how it's been destroyed in spite of having been the place where His Tabernacle used to be, where the Ark of the Covenant used to be! And this video takes us right to the very spot that the LORD wants us to see, to stand in awe of the total destruction that He sent when the people kept on sinning. This place really should give us the fear of the LORD!
  • That place is breathtaking 😍 it's beautiful. God willing I will visit the holy land. Jerusalem

This was so interesting! Thank you for walking through Shiloh and allowing us to see this. Close to the very end I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful clouds across the sky. I want to start showing your videos at my home Bible study. This helps to better understand visually where these places are in the Bible.
