You're last video on failure hit home for me. Years back, I failed to finish college as I was battling mental illness and suicidal attempts and felt that I needed to go back home to take care of myself. I felt like a failure, I felt shame for letting my mind take me away from something I loved and opportunities for the future. Despite that thought, I still found a job in my field of study. I was determined to give everything I got to show that I am more than just a certificate, so my fiance and I pack up and moved 1,300 KM away from where we grew up. Three years later we moved back to have a child close to family. I was not able to get a transfer, and could not find a job in my field, so I took a job driving a cement mixer, something that I knew NOTHING about, and I have no skills mechanically, but I learnt, because giving up was not an option. Once again, I felt like a failure, being so far from what I originally hoped for. Three years after that, we now have a beautiful daughter and I started a new job in sales, a field I had no experience in, and was quite scared to start, doubting if I could be successful, or be enough for myself, wife, and daughter. Six months later, and I am doing very well! I am currently one of the top salesman, bringing in 42.18% of the sales for our team of six. Most important, I've been doing this all without breaking my morals/principals of having to lie/cheat/steal to try and improve my sales channel. I've still had up's and downs, but I've now been able to see my moment's of self declared failure as learning opportunities. I'm now coming into work 2 hours early every day taking online courses in computer sciences and mobile app development to carve an even wider opportunity for myself and my family in the future. Thank you Will. I've learned that I can never be successful without failure. It's not something to be afraid of, it's something worth embracing. -Thank you! (Sorry for the long winded comment)
