WI V. DAHMER (1992) - Milwaukee police Officer Joseph Gabrish & Lt. Kenneth Meuler take the stand. Joseph Gabrish and John Balcerzak were the two Milwaukee police officers who handed a naked, bleeding Konerak Sinthasomphone, 14, over to serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer.

Dahmer’s neighbor Glenda Cleveland, and other witnesses at the scene tried to stop them. Sinthasomphone was murdered by Dahmer shortly thereafter.

  • It’s sickening how they keep showing respect for the killer by calling him “Mr. Dahmer” but the poor victim is disregarded as the “Asian male”. Shows how much they really even cared for his safety.

I am in federal law enforcement, strongly support law enforcement, and to this day am disgusted and enraged that these two fools were reinstated (with back pay, to boot), rather than permanently banned from ever serving as police officers and sued for every miserable penny to their name.

I feel really bad for the 14 year old.. Imagine having a guy drug you and drill holes into your skull. You miraculously escape, and even manage to alert the police. The officers then carry you back into the apartment to let the killer finish you off. I can't imagine what that must have felt like.. Those officers should have lost more than just their jobs. Later on they were reinstated with backpay. What a joke My heart goes out to the families

Not only did they fail that little boy, they are the reason for all of the deaths after him as well. Absolutely horrible
  • @wahaywgr
This is so sad. They didn’t care at all about Konerak. He lost his life because no one cared to do their job correctly. May his young soul continue to rest in peace.

What’s even more insane is that if the cops would have just checked Dahmers ID they would know that he was already on parole/probation for molesting the Asian kid he’s with own brother!!! Like Dahmer literally went to prison for molesting that kids brother about a year earlier. I feel so bad for that family. The police failed them so badly.
  • @gtheop
2 worst cops in history. No common sense to call an ambulance. Returned an injured BOY to a serial killer. Let that sink in
  • There's no way Konerak looked 19-20 as a 14 year old. In his photo they showed he didn't look a day over 12.
  • @Bruno1238
"Balcerzak served as president of the Milwaukee Police Association from 2005-2009".....that's literally unbelievable for me. That poor boy's family, omg.
  • @Jodi_Dawn
I can’t stand this man! Stop saying he was “intoxicated”. He was drugged and tortured Sir 😡
  • @megzzzz1077
I’m so glad the prosecutor emphasized that Konerak had a name, and made him say it!
  • The fact that he was naked and incoherent is enough to make into an investigation. I hope these police officers felt guilty for the rest of their lives
  • @bebois2529
I wish they stopped referring to him as ‘an asian male’ he. Was human he had a name…the fact they only saw him as an asian male was the reason he died..he had a name, he was loved
  • @shemp815
This handling by the police i think is likely the most egregious example of horrendous policing in the history of the United States.
  • These cops did a terrible job but the fire department messed up massively too, so sad.
  • It's extremely hard watching the negligence of these two officers. Really sad.
  • Ridiculous and disgusting, they didn’t care about the Asian boy to even attempt to help him
  • @Brian-bq8tj
He had a hole in his head and yet the fire department didn't notice after "checking" him? Poor kid the system failed to rescue him. Crazy that they also didn't atleast lightly search his apartment before leaving him there.
