Boston Dynamics has introduced a new electric version of its Atlas robot, replacing the older hydraulic model with a quieter, more fluid motion system. This revamped Atlas features a more streamlined and approachable design, mirroring advances seen in robots like Agility’s Digit and Apptronik’s Apollo. The new Atlas, equipped with custom high-powered actuators, showcases its enhanced agility and potential for industrial applications in a compelling demonstration video.

  • the clickbait thumbnail is really misleading. It made me think there was a full press conference/presentation with the new Atlas on a stage, but the whole thing was photoshopped.

What's going to blow youtubers away, is how many people unsubscribe, when you continually promise to blow them away, and don't. A better title would be "Exciting New Boston Dynamics Robot."
  • 0:30 "seems like atlas lying prone on a set of interlocking gym mats" thats the image description chat gpt would will come up with, ai is already affecting this man

I attended MIT before Nintendo was a household name. If anyone told me back when I was a student that MIT would spin-off into making these fancy bots, I'd have thought Lost in Space fried your brain!

No one is talking about how well made this CGI of ATLAS 2.0 ?? the real ATLAS is yet to be released, This is just their vision of what's the Robot will be, Please pay attention at the details.

That's one badass robot. I want to replace all my appendages with robotic ones. Mr. X
  • A challenge to BD is to show a video of its new robot that doesn't look like a cheap 3D simulation.

I'm not so sure that these robots they are showcasing here aren't 10 years in the past. Boston dynamics are a contract based company for the military.

This thing looks like a 10 years regression. Since it's not noisy it can surely work as a statue.

I've watched several of these Atlas II videos, this is by far the best. Didn't know it had 3 fingers. There is no reason copy a human exactly, simply achieve or surpass human functionality. An opposable thumb is very useful to me, does a robot need one, I don't know? I can say with certainty I cannot do those flips. Subscribed

    New Atlas, new expection!

It doesn't have proper hands, still. How will it be useful in the real world without them?
