♿️WHEELCHAIR CHALLENGE♿️HUSBAND SHOPS IN WIFES WHEELCHAIR

Published 2019-11-13
♿️MY NON-DISABLED HUSBAND TRYS SHOPPING IN MY OLD WHEELCHAIR CHALLENGE!!! THIS WAS HILARIOUS TO FILM, AND HILARIOUS TO EDIT. YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE HIM STRUGGLE, TRANSFERRING THE WHEELCHAIR IN AND OUT OF THE CAR, TRYING TO OPEN DOORS FROM THE WHEELCHAIR. GOING TO THE TOILET AND MUCH MUCH MORE.

BY MAKING THIS VIDEO I WANT TO RAIS AWARENESS OF HOW DIFFICULT LIFE IS IN A WHEELCHAIR. AND HOW THE EVERY DAY TASKS TAKE SO MUCH MORE EFFORT, TIME AND ENERGY.

After suffering my spinal cord injury i have really had to adapt in life. So Im showing you my disability lifestyle to raise disability awareness. As a disabled woman and a woman in a wheelchair who is paralysed, I thought it would be interesting for you to see, and hopefully give you some inspiration and motivation so that you can live more independently. wether you are paraplegic or quadriplegic I hope that I can help you. The wheelsnoheels message is “so no one has to feel alone.”

I have lots of interesting disability videos, a lot of videos on how to cope with a disability and living life in a wheelchair, wether you are a girl boy woman or man. i have some paraplegic exercise videos, and advice. its important to keep your fitness levels up as much as possible as this can when physically and mentally with depression.

If you feel I have given you value today consider buying me a ko-fi, just think of it as a tip.

Check out our newst challenge video: https://youtu.be/o7_8b4bhHeE ♿️Please consider sharing this video. My hope is to raise awareness of how difficult the everyday tasks can be for wheelchair users. Thank you Shaun for taking part in this video. Shaun is lucky he is very fit and strong. I think the one thing that is hard to get across in this video is the pain and fatigue we experience.
  • I love that Sean not only had to navigate in a wheelchair but also in one that wasn’t fitted to him. I think many of us have struggled with wheelchairs that weren’t properly fitted and the difference between different chairs adds to the challenge too! Great video!

I have the feeling something may get done about the front door step now! :))
  • @ChrisPage68
That glorious moment when it finally dawned on Shaun that there was a door frame around him.. 🏅
  • I really liked how you came back to all the little clips where he was making fun of the things you have to do to get things done bc it really put into perspective how different the mindset is when you are able bodied and don't have to think about how you're going to carry a big thing of milk vs a smaller one or hold onto a basket/bag when you're travelling. The moments when he realized that 'oh yeah maybe those little things you have to do and be cognizant of are actually important and useful' were my personal favorite part of this video.
  • I would LOVE to see Sean clean the house in the wheelchair! My family has NO idea how exhausting it is to wheel around with the vacuum, mop, duster, etc. After a morning of cleaning, I am absolutely done and it looks like I haven’t even accomplished that much!
  • I am a new wheelchair user and this video is so encouraging actually!! I only ever see people who are already soooo good at their chairs and in control, this wasnt even the intended point of the video but thank you for showing that it's okay to struggle!
  • @SarahBent
He's a doll. Good humor all around. It is a drastically different perspective. I go back and forth as I use the wheelchair for bad days and long trips. It is amazing how differently people treat you. I dislike how some staff people have no idea how to help. It really should be included in all training.
  • This was wonderful to watch! I am wheelchair dependent and have asked my family members to try to spend a day in my chair.....no one made it beyond a few hours, and that was just at home! Congrats to you both for your perseverance!
  • @marthasdays
Have him try to be in a chair for the entire day so like everything all day ! People could see our daily struggles then ! Xx
  • @GelaMarie83
He seemed to do pretty well all things considered. But he has a good teacher. I loved how much joy you got from watching him do this. Great video!
  • @kat1722
I wonder what people thought seeing Shaun get out of the car, walk to get your chair out, and then sit down and get ‘his’ chair out. Great video (again). I’m not in a chair but seeing your tips and tricks have helped me with things like energy conservation and thinking of different ways to do things that I struggle to do or do “normal” and put up with the pain. Love your channel x
  • So proud of you Sean having the courage to do this!! What a great idea. I may have to challenge my family to the same. Not sure if they would be as pleasant as Sean though.
  • @ChrisPage68
Maybe I'm sadistic, but I loved Gem's "GOOD BOOOOY!" - as if he was a dog she was training. I expected her to give him a "Shauno Treat" from her pocket every time he achieved something. 🤣😂
  • @elsas5575
I'm not a wheelchair user, but I am disabled and use a service dog. I love how this video demonstrated how all this extra little things that go into an outing are the really draining parts. Without a wheelchair (or dog), you can simply pop in the car and go somewhere but we have extra steps and complications. That's what I thought about when Sean talked about it taking 30 mins and you haven't even started the actual shopping yet: that's exhausting! With a dog, I have to make sure she has a chance to go out before we enter a store,. If we're out for long periods of time, I have make sure she is hydrated, that she isn't on a cold, hard floor ect. Since we are still in training, it also means we have training challenges... sometimes I have to leave if she is getting to antsy or having an off day. All these challenges are EASIER than dealing with my symptoms without my dog. That's how hard this shit is.
  • @jessielopez1793
Shaun is a great sport! Certainly an eye-opener. Loved watching this. I’m a chair-user and my husband is sight-impaired, so we often create a hilarious fiasco when we go shopping. I enjoyed that you are so like us — laughing the whole way. ❤️
  • @amyvertacnik281
I love this video! I do things like this as well with my partner, family, and friends. As I’m also deaf, I like to have people wear earplugs for their day too! Wheelchair users for the win!
  • @Bastianjens13
The difference was she didn’t slow down coming into the house just one swift motion
