  • It’s a shame Treasure Planet didn’t pan out in the Box Office due to Harry Potter. Treasure Planet is a classic staple of my childhood
  • @BubblyJubbly
Words can’t describe how underrated Treasure Planet and The Black Cauldron are.
  • Fun fact: One of the funniest things about The Black Cauldron is that it came out in theatres in 1985, but it was such a commercial failure that Disney didn't even release on VHS until 1997.

Here are some reasons why Disney's new movies flop: Bad marketing Releasing movies on streaming rather than theaters Remaking their classic movies Change the characters Covid
  • @ViewerOnline101
Treasure Planet and The Black Cauldron may have been financial flops when the movies came out, but they've since become cult classics.
  • @henri_ol
John Carter isn't a bad movie at all for me
  • @ColtonRMagby
I love mo-cap, but Mars Needs Moms is a prime example of how NOT to do it.
  • @zackrules4797
You know what the saddest thing is, Disney did actually had high hops for more Treasure Planet projects with a TV series and a sequel were Jim Hawkins has love interest named Kate, teaming up with Long John Silver to stop Ironbeard, who is the main antagonist of the sequel, and he was going to be voiced by Willem Dafoe. Unfortunately, when they saw the first movie's failure at the box office, those plans were ultimately left buried.

I am surprised that The Marvels didn't make it to this list with the lowest box-office performance in the whole MCU
  • @bennywark3103
I feel bad for Dial of Destiny, Treasure Planet, Tomorrow Land, Turning Red, The Lone Ranger, and John Carter. I enjoyed them alot.
  • @redbearddan2000
2013: Disney loses money on movies based on niche things (The Lone Ranger) 2023: Disney loses money on big famous IPs bought long time ago (MCU and Indiana Jones)
  • @Animeguy300
Around the world in 80 days deserves better
  • @Mathmachine
You know your list is off to a good start when the very first thing is a $100 million loss.
  • @Banguelas
So 11 films on a top 20 flops list were made in the last 10 years from a 90 years cinematography history. Disney is in a bad trend, needs to woke up.
  • @olvialee7221
555: You ignored the fact that Ming-Na Wen made a cameo in 2020’s Mulan
  • @MaxL-zj7eh
14:44 If you ask Me, The 2023 Haunted Mansion could also be a sequel to the 2003 Haunted Mansion.
  • The Black Cauldron, Treasure Planet and Turning Red may have bombed but i still watch them till this day. 😃
  • @jamesgeorgi6627
Mars Needs Moms was pretty much the beginning of Robert Zemekis’ downfall but the Pinocchio remake contributed to tarnishing his reputation even more
  • No. 14, honestly I'm surprised that Disney are STILL making live-action remakes of their original animated classics anymore especially after this here
