I found a neighborhood wandering Alzheimer’s patient for the Sherriff a few years back. Mini2. Found her on the second battery, pacing back and forth along a remote fence line. After that I decided to get the 107 and be legal about it. Thank you law enforcement, for incorporating drones into the mix. And thank you Greg for this video. Drones are a solution, flying around looking for problems to solve.
  • @WxOkie
    DJI makes amazing drones.
  • @JimBailey
Thank you so much Pilot Institute for this life saving information. Maybe one day it will save my life or maybe able to save someone else's life. Great video.

Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring lost people home! 😀👍🐾🐈‍⬛👏🐝
  • @chodkowski01
Most people lost are only within a mile of being saved. I believe carrying a small drone in your backpack could help if you get lost.
  • @Jasontyo
the demonstration of VLOS compliance is very appreciated thanks. thats how i do it too, "its over there somewhere"

I was just looking for a SAR course last week on PI!

In the middle of this course and am learning a lot of great info.
  • After flying the M3T, M30T, and M300 with H20T payload... the M300/H20T is still my go-to platform for search and rescue.

I'm ready for the next version of Night-mode. People in my State are still in all-out fear of becoming criminals for having a camera-drone. My county attorney or an officer gave my neighbor bad drone-advice. I told him to get his certificate like several other neighbors on our street, I fly with no fear.
  • I feel like you should definitely talk about requiring the FAA license and registration, plus also potential insurance risk.
  • @SlackerU
I always have trouble finding things. I wonder if the tracking software could be so useful that all we needed was a certain range of T-shirt colors for the drone to quickly find us.
  • @BuckRecovery
he should have tried iron red color palette The suspect would have been more noticeable I think.
  • @sk8master69
I feel like this class should be free. More people able to search affectively means more people found, but it's hidden by a pay wall higher than 400ft
  • @mooseeygoosey
How do SAR technicians handle VLOS? It seems like you'd very quickly lose line of sight of your drone in an environment like that. Are these people utilizing a waiver to fly beyond line of sight?
  • @user-tx9zg5mz5p
Dji needs to develop an AI that would assist with the search.
  • It's a different school of thought than what I'm used to. Can we do an episode that focuses on how NOT to be found? 😂 Like hide and seek, but with drones!
  • @Nunyali5lx
If only our ignorant US government would not ban life saving equipment.
  • @akush55
at first they was were only few $2,500 Then the second series it started climb $5400 now topping at $13,899 to mid $23,089 thing the brand M-30 going buy ($40,000) plus the truck load accessory extra so you can solo SAR Non Government with No Restriction? 😂🤑
