I think that Creedence Clearwater Revival's music is making you two honorary Americans. Come on over here!

Proud Mary is the name of a double decked riverboat with a big cylinder type paddle in the back traveling down the Mississippi river.

Proud Mary established John Fogarty as a world-class songwriter. What a great song it is. People will be singing it 100 years from now. As a reserved New Englander I was astonished at the warmth of the people in the deep South. They were often poor as dirt but they would always welcome me into their homes to have dinner with them and to worship with them - "People on the river are happy to give."
  • ā€˜Favorite Sonā€™ and ā€˜Runninā€™ Through The Jungleā€™ are two CCRā€™s Vietnam war era songs that speak to the tragedy of that war!

You two would be right at home in the U.S.A. I live in Ohio. You are already Americans in your heart so pack up and come on over. Happy to have you!
  • Possibly the greatest American rock band, certainly in the top 10. John Fogarty is one of the greatest all around talents in rock history. Thanks for another very enjoyable reaction. You guys are a gift!

One of the best songs to listen to whilst driving your car!

I live in East Texas. We also have bayous being next door to Louisiana. there is a culture of people that live on the rivers in the swamps and on the lakes that are very giving people. they are always willing to help. here in my area is much the same. mostly lower middle class and poor people but willing to help others. it is quite different in the larger city. I love to watch you guys react. Have a Blessed Day!!!!

I enjoy watching the reactors to music on YouTube. This married couple is so honest & sincere with their reactions. I'm a 78 year old man with a lot of music background, but after watching the response from this couple after watching Mike & the Mechanics song( In The Living Years) I believe his feelings were genuine and spontaneous.More love to people like them

Another great reaction! I swear...watching you folks be exposed to these classics and your enjoyment causes me to feel like i am experiencing it for the first time.
  • No other band captured the spirit of America better than Creedence did. So many of their songs paint vignettes of little slices of American life. Sometimes those vignettes were a kind of homage to a nostalgic past, like this one or "Down on the Corner", other times they're about darker aspects, like "Fortunate Son" but they were spot-on every time. And they do all this with such an enjoyable sound. It's impossible to not feel better when Creedence is playing. They couldn't miss for almost their entire run, bullseye after bullseye. You really should react to every song in their catalog. Please do "Penthouse Pauper" for a nice change of pace.
  • Glad that through all the bad images, that you are finding the good in my country. Very many good people. I think this platform has been a great way to bring people together who don't get to see the good. Music is magical and healing and a true language of peace.

Another great reaction. BTW, This band is from El Cerrito, California across the bay from San Francisco. Your enthusiasm for this type of music is contagious.

I enjoy your videos so much and I am quite delighted at your appreciation of the wonderful music from the 60ā€™s and 70ā€™s when I was growing up. I didnā€™t realize, until later, how fortunate we were to have so many prolific singer/songwriters to enjoy. Creedence Clearwater Revival (featuring John Fogarty) is s perfect example of this! Thereā€™s a great deal of ā€œfeel goodā€ music and you two are perfect for me to sit with and relive the best of the best. Thanks for letting me hang out with you. šŸŒŗāœŒļø

The media here in the US I believe arenā€™t telling us, the world the whole truth. But I think most know that now. If you ever come to America reach out Iā€™m north but Iā€™m on a river on acreage youā€™re always welcome. Many Blessings and much peace.

The lyric should be "pumped a lot of 'pane" (pane is short for propane). You've got to go down to the bayou.
